Biggest Loser 11 Spring Team Challenge--for Losers and Maintainers

Easter Blessings!

I hope this finds everyone happy, healthy, and Feelin' Groovy! The sun is shining, the birds are singing...

Just quickly -- ran Friday and Saturday, counted points yesterday, made an exercise plan through mid-July, and started using a 3-month tracker for WW yesterday. I highly recommend regrouping for anyone needing a fresh start. :thumbsup2

Love hearing about everyone's Easter with wee ones, when the highlights of your kid's basket is the Britney cd, some of the "magic" begins to wane :rotfl:

I hope everyone has a great day.
I'm heading over to my best friend's house to eat lunch with her. Then leaving around 6pm to head to the airport to pick my mom up. She's flying in from Chicago and going to be here for a few weeks. Then coming home and watching my DVR'ed Sunday night shows.

Friday morning when I weighed in I recd quite a shock - up almost 4 pounds:scared1: from my lowest on this challenge. I have been playing with fire and not eating well or exercising as much lately. I've been consistently up 2 pounds from my lowest and really just working at maintaining that and been very lucky but the truth is now showing up on the scale. I'm going to have to be as careful as I can this week on vacation. Tonight I read all the posts on here and caught up and feel very motivated.

Hang in there Shawn!! I was up 4 pounds when we got back from Disney Thursday. I'm back down 3 of those today. I'm waiting to weigh in tomorrow.

Just try to skim calories where you can. Like skip cheese on the salad, no dessert. Water, water water!!
Take care of yourself and enjoy your vacation. You can hit it again when you get back.

Can't wait til your back Stateside!!! Although I'll miss visiting you in Europe!!

10 days until we leave for FL for the Everest Challenge. I've pretty much determined we will be swept. I just can't get it down to a 16 minute pace.
I'm going to try to run every day but we are supposed to get rain every day this week.
I need to see if I can get my new treadmill put together. DH had to leave for DC again so I'm back on my own. Hopefully DS14 can help me.

Gorgeous day today though. 75 and the sun is trying to peek out. I've been purging clothes all day and have pitched a ton of my "fat girl" clothes. I'd rather my muffin top show a bit then wear shirts that are to big and gross looking. I think if I have nicer looking clothes I'll be more apt to try to look good in them.

One good thing that happened was one pair of shorts I brought with me to WDW were to big!! LOL They were my standard go to shorts last year.

OK time to get off this thing and get moving. Headed to the dungeon to put the treadmill together.
I hope y'all have a great Easter!!!!!

Happy Easter everyone! It was a great day. The positives were the sun was shining and it was warm out.:goodvibes It began thunderstorming around 615p as we were leaving my nana's so I was thankful for the day without any rain.:worship:

My kids had a great day and are so blessed to have family that loves them and puts so much thought into the holidays to make it so fun for them.

The only negative thing that I will comment on is that my cousin found the golden egg this year and i didnt...:rotfl2: She is 20$ richer right now but thats ok.

We are now at home in our pj's trying to unwind and get ready for the work week. Ryan and Nick will go to my parents tomorrow since Ryan and my Parents are still is on easter break from school.

I hope everyone enjoyed there day!!!!!

Maria- That's what I will be doing tomorrow! It was so hard with everyone home and my schedule was just all messed up! Don't get me wrong, I loved having them home! I am just looking forward to some alone time tomorrow so I can get some work done here.

Catching up on a show with Brian and then going to play a game with the kids before they head to bed in an hour.

DSIL and I planned our food for Friday's Royal Wedding! I have a few things to pick up to get ready. Going to make my bacon double cheese quiche but I will make it with egg beaters to cut down on the calories.

Back to lying on the couch!

TTFN :tigger:

Happy Easter everyone!!!

..have lots to catch up on. But caught Buffy's post - GOOD LUCK!!! We'll all be rooting for you!!!:goodvibes :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

 Yesterday was such a good day and then I got sick less than an hour ago. I had vertigo this morning but it went away quickly and didn't hear from that monster for the rest of the day. Then, I got sick to my stomach. I have decided that it was too much milk (cheese) from the lasagna I ate last night. I've been drinking electroylte-enhanced water and will again tomorrow. I'm not lightheaded, so I'm still optimistic. I finished the day with a few points left. I'm not a big ham person, so it was easy for me not to overeat today. Dessert was a pudding with Cool Whip mixed into it, so very low in points. I got all my fruits/veggies in and plenty of protein. I could use some more dairy, but right now, I think I'm better off without any more milk in me.

Sorry for the vent. I peeked at the scale today-hopefully it's right- and I'm down so far for the week! I'm hoping that continues. My goal is 2 pounds a week until we leave for Disney in August. That would put me at my lowest since I started my weight loss journey in Sept. 2008. :cool1: If I have a good day at work tomorrow, I'm going to the gym. I really want to re-start C25K. I've realized that I'm a treadmill girl, but that doesn't mean I can't work my way up to long distances on it. Kathy: Disney is definitely a great motivator!

Well, I'm off to do some Disney research and then go to bed. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

QOTD: I am counting my points, I am planning to exercise, and I'm optimistic!

Good evening everyone. Hope everyone had a Happy Easter :flower3: DS had his first egg hunt today and loved it. I took a ton of photos and a few videos.

Have a great day! :flower3:

Hi Lisa :goodvibes

I had to get on the scale twice this morning because I didn't believe it.

I lost a total of 3 pounds (the one I gained last week and 2 more).

Yahoo :yay:

I need a drink. :drinking1:rolleyes:

My turn for teen girl drama. The conversation went something like this with my 15 year old.

Mom, I've been invited to a party at a French guy's house next week.

Ok. More information please.

That is about it. He is supposed to be really nice and we will watch French Movies and eat French food.

Okay, Still need more information.

What else do you need to know? It is at his house on Friday night. He's married and they invite kids over all the time.

I thought we were talking about a high school kid! So now I need WAAAAAAAY more information.

That is about all I know, but some of the kids in my class are going and I really want to go.

HOW ABOUT WHO THE HECK IS THIS GUY?????

Oh, my French teacher knows him.

So will she be there for this?

No, she is going out of town and won't be here.

Oh man :rotfl: Hope the weekend went faster than you expected.

Ugh! Been awake since 4 for some unknown reason!

And I thought 5:30 was bad :scared1:

My favorite springtime tradition is going to see the Cherry Blossoms in Washington, DC. When the girls were little, we always went to Disney for Easter. But, now that they are grown, we don't have to do those crowds anymore - if we don't want to.

I went to the Cherry Blossom parade twice when I was younger and it's beautiful down there that time of year :lovestruc

Good morning. I loved the scale this morning. Yesterday I had regained a few lbs, but it dropped 4 lbs overnight :cool1:

Good job :thumbsup2

we had a little egg hunt for thomas in the house and although he didn't quite get it, he enjoyed picking up the eggs and putting them in his mickey mouse easter basket (of course, hehe).

How cute, how old is Thomas?

One good thing that happened was one pair of shorts I brought with me to WDW were to big!! LOL They were my standard go to shorts last year.

Now that's progress :woohoo:

 Yesterday was such a good day and then I got sick less than an hour ago. I had vertigo this morning but it went away quickly and didn't hear from that monster for the rest of the day. Then, I got sick to my stomach.

Oh no, hope you're feeling better

Hi Kathy - Wasn't it just gorgeous here today?

Well, time to go make lunches. I really hate doing it, but DH made me the cutest Easter basket with my favorite candy, Easter flavored body washes from Sephora that I love and a bottle of sweet sparkling wine that some of the women from work tried at their end of busy season dinner since they said it was sweet and he knows that I love sweet wine. I felt kind of bad since we agreed not to do gifts and he did anyway, but he didn't seem to mind.

Oh and I definitely had tax season brain last week. I always order a cake for Dylan's teachers at daycare around the holidays and went last Tuesday to order them an Easter cake. Scheduled it for pickup this coming Wednesday night and as I was driving around Saturday it clicked that this weekend was Easter. Duh

Feeling stressed about all I need to get done tomorrow while the kids are at school. Also stressing about Ash's project that is due on Thursday. We need to get some clothes together by Tuesday at the latest or we are in serious trouble! Hopefully we will get stuff tomorrow afternoon!

OK, now it's time to make a list of what I need to get done tomorrow and what I need to buy this week! I've had no energy today so tomorrow I plan on working out a few times tomorrow to help increase my energy! I have my workouts upstairs so I can do a workout at 5:30 and then another at 8:30 to get back on track. My family room is in bad shape and DSIL is spending the night on THursday before the Royal Wedding so I MUST get that done! Of course the tv isn't working down there so I have to make sure I have a DVD to watch when I'm down there!

Enough stressing!

Get that list out and then prioritize it. Don't stress it to much. Just figure out what you can do fast and first, then figure out what you can multitask.

Hi y'all! I've only got 3 PMs in my inbox right now, but I'm looking forward to hearing from ALL of you WINners in the next day or so. If you wanna get your numbers in, shoot 'em on over. I'll compile and post results on Tuesday or Wednesday evening.

Happy Easter! :flower3:

UGH!! 2 1/2 hours and 3 people later the treadmill was put together. There is no way that thing is ever coming out of the basement!! LOL

I did C25K on it tonight week 4 day 1. I was at week 5 but stopped running. Week 4 was a good place to start again. I felt really good and did 1 mile in intervals in 16:09, which was fabulous! Over all I averaged 16:18 which was great, I've shaved about 1:15 off my time from the last time I ran. I guess it was all that hydrating and walking at Disney. Now to keep that up for 10 more days!!
I really like this new treadmill. It has settings for different paths like Diamond Head and Yosemite. It also keeps track of my pace which the old one didn't so I was having to do that manually before. It also has a 40 degree incline and a -6 decline which is awesome! I hope to get the wi-fi hooked up so I can download paths from the iFit site. DH needs to help me with that though, I'm so computer challenged.

I feel like I'm mentally in a really good place for the first time in weeks. I really needed those few days in FL to regroup.

Tomorrow's plan is to start wrapping up my last duty as PTO VP, t-shirt orders for field Day. As soon as that event is over, I am done with all my duties. Elections are the 18th and even if there is no one to take my place I told the Pres I was done.
I'll still be the school photographer but that's about it. I can download and email all that to the various people, no need to be in the building.

I also plan to run, finish purging and packing winter clothes and getting spring and summer stuff out. Also going to start the purge process on the kids clothes. Have lunch with BFF and my god daughters before they head back to Montana. Then the afternoon will be spent purging the fridge, freezer and pantry. I'm pitching the crazy processed crap. I want to do more from scratch cooking, especially over summer.

OK enough rambling, I'm going to go make my own task list while waiting for DH to call. He should be rolling into DC soon.

Have a great day tomorrow everyone!!!

I've been 100% on track today, but let me tell you that it hasn't been easy. My mother made brownies, extra fudgy brownies, for dessert today and she sent half the pan home for the boys. They are just sitting there calling my name. Brownies with a cold glass of milk, yummy. I have and will continue to resist though as I am making such good progress I don't want to back track now.

I had so many project today between helping Hunter with a major project (made a board game) to catching up on laundry (didn't get it all done) to doing the budget and paying bills (accomplished). I wish I had a couple more hours in the day. Oh well, such is life.

i hope everyone had a great day! we had a nice time at my aunt's. it was HOT out! i kept telling myself not to complain since it had been a long time since we'd felt heat!

we waited until we were leaving to tell everyone about the baby. i didn't want to have to talk about it the whole time and take attention from everyone else. the whole family clapped and cheered. it was cute. my one aunt said, "how could you wait to tell us until you were leaving? now how am i supposed to grill you with all my questions??" haha

a nice plus to the day was that alot of people were commenting on the fact that i'd lost weight! :) i guess i'm about 8 pounds down from when i saw alot of them.

two bummers though is that one of my cousins couldn't make it b/c he's in the hospital with pacreatitis (can't spell). poor guy. it was his bday yesterday too. oh, and my dad was acting really weird. i dunno, my mom wasn't there b/c she was working (she's very anti-social). we have our issues but he just acted really strange at the end of the day. and finally he just left before dessert or anything. whatever. he was acting upset that thomas didn't want to sit with him - but that's b/c he doesn't KNOW him. he'll be 2 in june and i can count on two hands how many times my parents have seen him. eh, their loss. i have a million other aunts and uncles who love him!

ok, i've been doing alot of whining on here lately. no more! thanks for reading!

have a great monday everyone!

I highly recommend regrouping for anyone needing a fresh start. :thumbsup2

I totally need to regroup this week. Starting today off on the right foot. This was my first Easter michael knew about the bunny, and we had a few laughs about it, but it is different. Hope you had a wonderful day.

10 days until we leave for FL for the Everest Challenge. I've pretty much determined we will be swept. I just can't get it down to a 16 minute pace.
I'm going to try to run every day but we are supposed to get rain every day this week.
You are not going to get swept. You have trained, and are so close to the 16 min pace, and remember, the pace time starts when the last person crosses the start line, so if you're not in the way back of the last corral, you'll have a few extra minutes. Plus, you're going to be faster than any run you've done to date, you will be so excited. Have you looked at the results from last year? I just checked it out, and I didn't know anything about the race, the 5k and then a scavenger hunt sounds like so much fun. You and ds will have a blast. I saw lots 5k times in the 50 min or longer range. You will do this, Buffy, and I can't wait to hear all about it!!!

The only negative thing that I will comment on is that my cousin found the golden egg this year and i didnt...:rotfl2: She is 20$ richer right now but thats ok.
:rotfl2: you'll get it next year.

Hi Kathy - Wasn't it just gorgeous here today?
It was a perfect day. We did our egg hunt early before dinner because we thought it was going to rain, but we ended up being outside most of the day, with just a few sprinkles. A perfect day. Well, except for my behavior at the dessert table.:rotfl:

Hi y'all! I've only got 3 PMs in my inbox right now, but I'm looking forward to hearing from ALL of you WINners in the next day or so. If you wanna get your numbers in, shoot 'em on over. I'll compile and post results on Tuesday or Wednesday evening.

Hi Connie. Thanks for the reminder. I'll to mine tonight, and pm you. Hope you are doing well.

I've been 100% on track today, but let me tell you that it hasn't been easy.
So impressed with your resolve. You are a strong woman.

i a nice plus to the day was that alot of people were commenting on the fact that i'd lost weight! :) i guess i'm about 8 pounds down from when i saw alot of them.

:hug:Glad you had a nice day and sorry about your mom and dad. That's got to be tough to take at times, and you deserve to be upset about it. Glad you have so many other aunts and uncles who are there for you, where your folks aren't. So nice when people notice your weight loss. :thumbsup2

Tracey-Take some nice deep breaths, it will all get done.

Shawn- Your trip sounds so wonderful. I love hearing all about it, and am so happy you have been able to see and do so much while you are living in europe. What amazing memories your ds will have from these years.

Rose- Hope you had a wonderful weekend with ds.

Hello to everyone I've missed. Hope you all had a nice weekend.

We had a nice day yesterday, and I started out pretty good, but ended up pretty bad with dessert. So again, today is a new day, and I am going to regroup on Maria's recommendation, and tonight I will write down a run/walk training plan for the half in september, which will start in june, and make a plan for may/june. I have 2 5k's I want to do in june, and a 5 mile race, so I'd like to get working on increasing my speed.

DS did fine getting up and off to school for the first day after vacation. We had a fun week.

Have a marvelous monday!!:)

:donald: Morning Teams! ::MickeyMo

Its dreary weather again today. We had really bad storms again last night with high winds, thunderstorms, and power outages. I can officially say its spring in North Texas :)

My mom is here and getting ready to head over to her house in a bit to get her house in some kind of order. The cabinet guy is here and will be here for 12 hours. However, the longer he is here each day the quicker I get my kitchen back.

No plans for the next few days due to having to be here during the day. I'll post before and after pictures when everything is completed.

10 days until we leave for FL for the Everest Challenge. I've pretty much determined we will be swept. I just can't get it down to a 16 minute pace.

Good Luck Buffy. All you can do is try your best. Just starting the race and putting yourself out there is an accomplishment in itself. Good Job.:thumbsup2

 Yesterday was such a good day and then I got sick less than an hour ago.

Sorry to hear about you getting sick but glad the day was great. You are doing so good and are sounding like the old CC again.:goodvibes

DH made me the cutest Easter basket with my favorite candy, Easter flavored body washes from Sephora that I love and a bottle of sweet sparkling wine that some of the women from work tried at their end of busy season dinner since they said it was sweet and he knows that I love sweet wine. Wow great job deb. Brownies is a bad temptation for me too. I am so impressed.

Glad it went over well, sorry about your mom and dad but I agree its there loss. Enjoy this warm weather we are having!

Well its a monday morning...enough said.:sad2: It is nice and springy out which always brightens my day. I have on capri's and a tank top for work today. Its suppose to be in the upper 70's today. I am a bit disappointed because its pants that I wore this summer and I was hoping they would be to big but they still fit. Which means I need to get my butt in gear.

Monday 4/25/11 QOTD-

Inspired by the warm weather we are having today What do you look forward to doing this spring/summer? Outdoor activities, Vacations, etc.

I am looking forward to a low key spring/summer. We plan to go to a few minor league baseball games, a day at the jersey shore, maybe a day at an amusement park. Im really looking forward to some relaxing outdoor weekends with my family! Oh and running outdoors of course.

Love hearing about everyone's Easter with wee ones, when the highlights of your kid's basket is the Britney cd, some of the "magic" begins to wane :rotfl:

Nancy, sounds like you had a great day yesterday. Sorry for the weirdness. That is part of the charm of getting together with family. :lmao:

Kathy, glad that you had a good day! :flower3:

Sorry about the golden egg, Lindsay.

The thing that I look forward to most is being outside a lot more. :sunny: And the longer days.

Yikes! Why is it so late already?!? Have a great day all! :goodvibes

Glad you had a great day yesterday. I too need to regroup!!! I started out bad yesterday but did good with dessert because I was too stuffed.:lmao: We are still both in the same boat. Lets hoist (not sure of the spelling) our sail and head off into the right direction together.:thumbsup2

Glad it wasnt too bad for michael today. I am not looking forward to tomorrow morning when ryan and nick have to both return.:headache:
