Biggest Hit on Christmas Morning?

DS age 17: X Box Live wireless converter (so he doesn't have to plug in), and cash (gave three boxes with $20 each_-he's going to Tahoe with family friends the day after Xmas.

DD, age 15: a laptop and her Kindle and a little photo keychain (paid $2 for it last year with Target's 90% off Xmas items)

DS age 12: his Transformers, a Transformers DS game and a Star Wars book (I think the cross sections book for the newer Star Wars movies)

For DD21 and DD16, the plane ticket vouchers and the gift card that told them they could plan a sisters only weekend trip this year! (I got two vouchers when we got bumped from an oversold flight a few weeks ago.)

For DD21, a set of Henkel knives and a set of stainless cookware, plus various cookbooks and baking needs.

For DD16, a universal remote control for the TV in the shape of a Harry Potter wand. She has already programmed it and is flicking away like mad!

For me, a panini maker and a new Ipod classic from my daughters, and a video of a kid's show that my brother and I loved as a child from my brother. Also, a set of 12 Days of Christmas dishes and napkins that were featured last year in Williams Sonoma but sold out before I got them. She went on Ebay for them - love her!!

We finally got a Wii! :lmao: Yup, last people on the planet I think.

They got a few games and a Wii Fit (although the Wii Fit is really for ME, but they don't know that!)

The kids haven't even done more than unwrap their other gifts! They have been on the Wii all day exept to eat.

For ds(7) it has been all legos, all day. He was up at 4:45 this morning. So far he has assembled his lego camper and dh helped him put the Coast Guard boat and rescue tower together.

For Dear Great-grandfather (85) he has stared at a display case we made for him. It contains an eagle cane he was awarded recently for his service as a medic in WW2 and we arranged lots of his war memorabilia (most of which has been in storage boxes for years). He cried last night when he opened it and has taken great pride in showing it to everyone who has come to visit today. It has prompted lots of stories, too. It was tricky to hide from him, but I am so glad we did it.

My Dear dad loved his Country Legends cds and Nascar book.

Hope everyone enjoys the time with family.

OMG........ the screaming when he opened it cracked me up.. This was out of stock for like a year and it went on sale BF.. You would have thought someone was stabbing him... :lmao:

It is also a favorite of DD3 here!! She has also been having fun with the new Play-Doh set from Santa.

DS4 asked Santa to bring "crushed cars" for his Monster Jam trucks - and he was super excited that Santa brought them!! LOL - who has heard of a kid asking Santa for "crushed cars! DH & I thought it was hilarious when he wanted to add that to his list.

oh, i forgot, DH bought me the set of pots and pans i'd had my eye on, plus a digital food scale (i'm a gastric bypass patient and i weigh my food a lot) as a total surprise! i had NO idea he was getting me anything at all and i was SO pleased to see those boxes! i know these things may sound like crappy gifts to some, but i LOVE to cook and the scale will be a big help. he also gave me some money because he knows i love to save Christmas and birthday money for souvenirs on vacations.
