Do any resorts have rooms with 2 queens or 1 King and a pull out?
The All Star double beds were way too small for me and the wife.
I would like to stay inside the park but I am also trying to keep costs down too

Thanks
Brian

Yes, all deluxes have them. The only deluxe w/o queens is the Dolphin.

Also, the Poly, CR, GF, BC, YC, BWI all have daybeds even with the 2 queens.

I was afraid of that. Looks like we are outside on this trip

Thanks

I'm in the same boat as you. We're just going to take our chances at Pop Century. We've put in a request for a King bed there, but chances are we won't get one since they're all accessible rooms (unless I manage to injure myself again... sigh, which at the rate I'm going this hockey season is a distinct possibility).

Maybe if more of us put in requests they might change a few rooms. I can't imagine that those doubles could be that comfortable for families either? I mean two kids, yeah, but mom and dad? I don't think so!

What do families do in those rooms? One parent and one kid in one bed?

Even cheapo travel lodges have queens in them.

We stayed at the all stars last year and luckily my wifes friend came so there was an extra bed where my wife slept.
THis is really a budget trip so maybe I will look into Cypress Hills for a few nights

We did the All-Stars last year too. We got lucky the first time around because I had just had ankle surgery and was in a wheelchair so we got the King room. :cool1:

The second time was an impromptu trip and we ended up with the doubles. Yuck!

Not so bad when you're married and sleep together all the time. Not so good when you're in a long distance relationship and you only see your honey every now and then, cuddling becomes a chinese acrobatic routine! :rotfl2:

We had to sleep in separate beds because I fell out of one the first night. :rotfl:

The All Star Family Suites have a QUEEN size bed in the master bedroom area.
They have a sofa pullout that will sleep 2 plus a chair and an ottoman that each foldout into a twin size that will sleep 1.
The rack for a Family Suite is less than a room at WL or AKL.
AAA has some discounted Suites plus codes and discounts have been offered from time to time so keep your eyes open.

DH and I stayed in a Family Suite at All Star Music ( a value resort) in Sept. of 2006.

We really enjoyed the Queen size bed, the kitchenette with the microwave, having a sofa and cushioned chair to sit on and relax after a day at the parks before retiring for the evening.

I thought the pullouts very comfortable.

They are designed so the back cushion and seat cushion of the pullout support the pullout. There is no metal bar to hurt the sleepers back.

Have fun at Disney wherever you choose to stay!:wizard:

All DVC studios have a queen size bed and a pull out couch. OKW studios have 2 queen size beds.

We have stayed several times at the CBR and the POrleans - even though the say the beds are full size my 6'6" son-in-law swears that their full size are larger than the beds at the POP - he says they are almost Queen size which is the size bed they have at home . (I figure he should know since he is the one with the long legs). The POFQ has rooms with two double beds and a trundle in some of the rooms.

Hey there,
on our recent (and first ever) trip, we stayed at POFQ. We took a twin aerobed with us for my son (age 10--but the size of a small adult). I can't stand being smushed in bed. So, my husband slept with our daughter (6) and our son slept on the aerobed. I had a bed to myself! There would have been room for at least a double aerobed, maybe a queen if we had moved the table and chairs. It's something to consider, if it helps keep you in the park!

When staying at a value or mod, we always take an air mattress with us. The beds are too small. My dh is 6'4 and we are used to a king bed. So, when we have the double beds, he gets a bed to himself, I have to sleep with our 13 yr old dd and the other dd gets an air mattress on the floor.
This time we are staying at WL hopefully the queen beds will be a little big nicer.

I feel your pain! DH is 6'5" and will honestly not fit in a double bed. Very unfortunate because I hate the thought of having to pay a delux price just so we can sleep in the same bed on vacation. :sad2:
We've actually been told (by a CM) that although the beds at the mods are listed as 'double' size, they are actually a few inches longer. Although I've never been anal enough to take a tape measure and see for myself, it makes logical sense as we both can fit in a CBR bed, but not in a POP bed. Now, I know that Disney is a magical place :wizard: , but I'm thinking that one might be a bit hard to pull off otherwise...:goodvibes
