This is a very serious infaction of the Man Club Rules - actually TWO very serious infractions - First - arranging the gift, and second arranging the gift and allowing those other DHs to be placed into this situation.

I ask you my DIS kin, would someone who plots to write RMD's trip reports before he is on the trip be sitting around drinking beer and watching TV? No wait bad question - Yeah I would BUT that is where I get my best ideas. I mean metaphorically sitting around?

Here is the most galling part, Janet, Mark's DW, is one of MY old and dear friend form High School, (class of 77.) ZW only knows her from my reunions and stuff.

What the heck Janet & Mark's 5th kid is named Bennet ONE t. That makes two of us. (Ok it is true that with 5 kids you are running out of names. You are more than likely flipping through the old HS year book looking for names other older kids don't associate with bullies at day care but that is not my point...) So when ZW was looking to see if anyone wanted to go on the cruise with her who does she call? One of her pals? Nope - one of my friends. (Let me just inject who has a better reputation for a good party in that case huh?)

Who makes me look bad? My friend's DH.

(He may be getting back for that time, years ago, a few of us flew a private plane up to Janet's house and proceded to drink all the beer in New Hampshire and take her car skiing the next day. He was some what on edge when he called the house and I answered it, but hey he had to get to know me some time and well may as well get to know the real me right?)

This is a get away trip--right-----to get away and leave the family cares behind----So why would you ---the wonderful husband you are----- bother ZW with gifts and the like? By " your orders" ---she is just to have a great time and "forget" about everyday family stuff-----You, do bring flowers home once a week--right and as for the candy ---Just remind her she is sweet enough.....

Other wise stop at the jewelery store before her return-----get something big and goddy---Oh, and it will need to shine in the dark---That way you'll know you've spent enough.....
