Any helpful, cute, awesome, whatever ideas for the reveal??? We are going to WDW in September, first trip for the whole family, first for the kids period. T-shirts, mickey ears, etc etc...suggestions for the Easter Egg Hunt/Basket??? Son is 11 and Daughter is 8. TiA...

My mom used to buy these plastic eggs (probably from dollarama) and fill it will small chocolate eggs, then hide those. This was done so our dogs wouldnt find the chocolate while we were all asleep haha. Anyway you could hide a bunch of these with a letter in each one and it all spells out WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD. The kids collect them during the hunt and try to solve the puzzle after all the excitement of finding chocolate has died down.

That's a very cute idea!

Two related ideas, depending on what you want to do...
1. Numbered eggs that, when put in order, tell the kids what is going on (either telling directly or in clue format).
2. One largish egg for each that contains a clue on where to go next - egg hunt turns into scavenger hunt. Hide the items you want to give them. A 2016 WDW item as the end item (I'd suggest doing it as a label on a misting fan, maybe with the month on there as well)

This is my kids first trip, but I have decent memories of being their age. So here are some ideas.
Blank Disney-themed books
Lightweight character raincoats/ponchos
T-shirts
Park bag (we did lanyard pouches when I was their age - they also have a place to clip a pen for autographs)
T-shirt/Pillowcase/book for autographs
Water bottles

We did the second idea above (large egg) as our reveal last year. It started a scavenger hunt which gave clues along the way about a special place we were visiting. The last clue led the kids to a gift bag (Disney, of course!) with 4 Tshirts in it (one for each kid and the shirt had their fav Disney character on it). It worked out really well !

We just surprised our kids with their trip on Valentines Day. DD6 and DS4 went on a scavenger hunt around the house as DD can read anything it was great..... she dragged her little brother around the house at 630 am and finally found the clue in the playroom with two shirts that say This kid is going to disney, a card and one of DS's planes.... they LOVED it!

We have been doing a scavenger hunt for years with our daughter instead of just the traditional hiding of the eggs. There is one clue at the beginning of the hunt that leads to another egg, which leads to another, which leads to another. When my niece was here we did two different egg styles so there was no confusion. The clues can be as hard or as easy as needed. The last egg directs her to her basket which in your case could have a Disney goodies and one reveal that says we are going.

A couple years ago we did big Disney theme Easter baskets. A personalized Mickey cinch sack off of Etsy, autograph books/pens, pins for pin collecting, a Disney themed shirt, etc. Seems like I remember finding some Disney sugar cookies at Walgreens and such too. It was a big hit and was mostly all stuff we would have probably bought for the trip anyways.

Ah I want to do this so badly! But, we're going to Mexico first and I want the kids to fully appreciate and enjoy one trip before learning about the next one (they're so spoiled this year on vacations). We get back from Mexico the day before Easter and I think I should have at least a few weeks break for them to "come down" from one trip before the next. But otherwise, I would so be jumping on all these ideas!
