Big Tracfone Clearance at Target!

Looks-like Target is making room in the Tracfone section and letting-go of some phones -- including one with the "Triple Minutes for Life" option!

Oh how I wish Target was closer. I'm getting one of these for my dad for Christmas but I guess I'll be waiting till Thanksgiving night... Shopko is going to have one for under $10 with a card full of minutes.

No - as these particular phones are special clearance items (meaning Target is no longer planning to carry them as a regular store item) -- plus, because of the "limit 2 phones per person" rule Tracfone imposes on all retailers, they wouldn't be able to enforce that rule on Target's website...

I saw one marked to $10.xx It was a flip style phone. I don't think it had any minutes though.

My Target had one of the triple minute ones left! This is great because I just learned from another thread that you can call internationally with the tracfone for the same price as a local call. My DD is studying abroad starting in January, so this will be great to use to call her. As soon as someone on the other thread mentioned that, I remembered reading this thread and I ran right out to Target to see if there were any there. The one I got was $14.95 on clearance with the triple minutes.

Wouldn't this depend on whether the phone has a SIM chip (GSM capable versus CDMA capable)?

The phone's you find in the stores are GSM not CDMA for tracfone.

We would be using the phone here in the States to call her in England. Not the other way around.

I was able to get one of the phones clearanced for $14.98 today! I also used my red card and saved another 5%! DS will be thrilled on Christmas.

Thanks for the tip...I picked one up for my son (9) with double minutes, it was $9.99 plus $4.99 for the 2 year replacement plan.
