Big thunder ranch bbq...new?

The Ranch is open all 7 days next week for Presidents Day week. I believe it goes back to regular 7 days/week in mid March.

I ended up calling the dining reservations number, and they said it won't be open on 3/9. Maybe it will open later in March. I'm disappointed, but can only hope that means that the crowds won't be too big at the park (e.g. not big enough to warrant opening this restaurant).

It's going to be open because it's going to be open. The schedule does not give reasons.

No it is not open in the rain. If serious rain is considered certain, they make the decision early and tell the staff not to come in. If rain is maybe/maybe not, or expected to start late in the day, the restaurant opens and then may close if the rain becomes serious.

They did recently install some heaters, so cool evenings are not a meal killer anymore.

That sucks that there is not other work for the staff when it rains.

My family ate here in September 2010. Everyone really enjoyed it. We also got their warm chocolate chip cookie sundae dessert to share. It was one of the best desserts I have ever had! Also next door is the petting zoo. When I went both Jesse and Woody were there.

I had to laugh when I read this post - I could have written it myself as we were there the same time!! We loved the chocolate chip cookie dessert, and the food was good too. We saw Jessie and Woody while we were eating, and hit the petting zoo right after. I think there is a very good chance we'll eat there again this September!
