Big thunder each BBQ question

Yup! I had dinner there 4th of July last year, it was wonderful. Can't wait to go again in November. :)

Yes, it's served family style, so they bring out 'buckets' of everything and you can ask for more of anything as you would like them. Chicken and Ribs, beans, cole slaw, corn bread, sausage and corn cobs with dinner.

Yes, as the PPs have said, Big Thunder Ranch BBQ is all-you-care-to-eat and served family style. Lunch includes chicken, ribs, corn bread, cole slaw and beans. Dinner includes those same things plus sausages and corn cob wheels.

The dessert is NOT all you can eat. You order it by the dish, but they are large dishes. The rest of it....it's hogs at the trough! I love it.

Yes it is, I have never been there but its a must now for our NYE trip... before it closes forever

I have always wanted to try this, but my daughter will not eat any of the food there. I wish I could just bring her food and we could try it out. I can't justify spending the $$ on her when she will not eat a bite of it.

I asked about this very thing a while back as my son wont like anything there either. It turns out you can get something at any of the other restaurants (Village Hause, etc) and bring it in. Just let your hostess know what your doing and they wont charge you. People do it all the time!

Enjoy the BBQ!,
Scott

I actually feel ashamed I have never eaten there in the 4 years as an AP holder../shame

It's a must for our December trip for sure..

That is awesome!! Now to make sure the other half wants to do that for lunch one day. :)

Thank you!!

Uhhh it is so delicious. I could eat my weight in the cornbread and butter right now. WHY must it be across the country?!??!

You betcha........it's a must do meal for us.

Glad we went on our trip in March and got one more dinner at the ranch.

I really like the ribs while DD likes the coleslaw. It's a nice place to escape from the crowds and enjoy a sit down meal. We are planning to go there twice during our upcoming Christmas trip. :-)

The shareable desserts are ginormous. The menu says, "Can be shared by 2 or more"... which led me to think they were "generous", but they are seriously family sized. We have a family of 5. Two people got "individual desserts", and the other 3 of us decided to share one of the shareable ones. The one shareable dessert easily would have fed all five of us. They are a great deal too... about $12 - so if you split that 4-6 ways, not a bad price at all.

Great corn bread? That's it - I'm in for next month.
The corn bread comes in little loaves. It has bits of corn in the bread, which I really like!

In terms of the desserts, there were three options last weekend: the s'mores bake, cookie deep dish, and the seasonal fruit crisp. They were $9.99 each and as others have said, they're quite large (especially considering the rest of the meal is AYCTE).

You can visit Town Hall and ask the cast members there for the recipe to the BTRBBQ cole slaw. Not all recipes are available, but we've asked for and received a copy of the cole slaw recipe!
