BIG Thumbs Down for Cartier!

Hi Everyone!

Just thought I'd pass along our experience with Cartier :( . We arrived last week and no one was at MCO waiting for us. Our flight came in at 9:30am and the driver did not show up until 10:15. I called and left a not-so-nice message on their voice mail trying to find out where the driver was. (They did not even answer the phone!)

Then, we are going to CR. The driver stops at the MK toll booths and asks for directions!:eek: OK, Buddy - I'll drive!:p Get in the far right lane and go straight!

We had made arrangements to be picked up yesterday at a certain time - well, that time comes and goes - no driver. Another not-so-nice phone call (spoke to a human this time!) and more waiting. He was 15 minutes late. We were told he left MCO at x time, and it took him 50 minutes to get to CR. :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Well, this is ANOTHER town car service that we will not be using again - been thru almost all of them so far!:rolleyes:
 
That's too bad about your service from Cartier. You mentioned that you have just about tried them all. Could you please tell us which ones you have tried and why you didn't like them (assuming that since you didn't stick with them)?

One thing I didn't like about Cartier was they were very confusing when I was trying to tell them I needed 2 car seats for my kids. It was almost a run-around answer and I told them forget it, they couldn't fulfill my needs. We're going with FL Tours and they have no problem with 2 car seats at all!

Sure, let's see what I can recall off-hand...

The first company we ever used was Mears. We had previously used their shuttle service, but soon tired of stopping at hotel after hotel to get to ours. When we found out they provided town car service, we gave them a try. We used them several times, until they screwed up BIG TIME. We had made reservations with them far in advace and even called to verify just a few days prior to our trip. When we got there, they had no record of our ressie and all of their drivers were too busy to take us. We waited at that darn window of theirs forever before we just took their shuttle. That was the end of them.

Then there was Tiffany, again we used them several times before they screwed up. Again, no driver.

Then, there was another company, but for the life of me, I cannot remember who.....

Then there was Your Ride. We actually had very good service from them, until their website stopped taking ressies. It is very inconvenient to make your customers call you when you have a website that is *supposed* to take ressies, but it nevers goes thru. That is the reason we decided to try Cartier, they have a website that actually works.

I would never try FL Tours, the responses I have received publicly and privately from them have been so rude, that I would never give them my business. And then there's Happy Limo - well, I guess I am going to sound like a snob, but I would never use a company with such a name.:rolleyes:

So, I guess it's back to Your Ride and I will just have to call in my ressies. We'll see what happens in a couple of months!
 
Sorry to hear you had a problem......guess we were lucky!!

We used 'Cartier' 2 wks ago and received excellent service. Kalim was waiting, as agreed at MCO baggage, loaded our things, even made a stop for us before reaching port. For return we told him we would be off ship by 9am. We ended up getting off appx 8:45 and luckily he was waiting. Our driver told us they were in process of a new owner.

In Dec. we used "Y/R" when Rabbitt owned the company and also had exceptional service.

I'm a little confused. Why does that put you off?

Interesting ... when we were waiting for my sister & niece to come to WDW on the Mears shuttle, we had a nice conversation with some bellman. They specifically mentioned Happy as a good limo/shuttle service to use.

We always use your ride and even though they have a website I always call to talk to Tom personally and get my ressie by word of mouth. You never know what those websites are going to do.
 
Be upset to and stessed out that is no way to start or end a vacation.I hope you ha d agreat time at WDW though.Thanks for sharing your experience.Ihave always used Tiffany and no problems so far hope my luck holds for our December trip.:earsboy:
 
sorcerormickey, have you tried emailing Thom himself at Your Ride? He usually emails immediately back!

We are using them in October (umm 3 1/2 weeks :Pinkbounc ) and I just emailed him directly. Sorry about your experience with Cartier, there's nothing more stressful than arriving at your destination only to wait an extra 45 minutes or so!
 
Always used y/r w/ no problem too...do you have AOL? I found I couldn't use theire website while using aol...Rabbit told me that about 2 yrs ago and then I started emailing him from work (no aol!) That is a trip about FL Tours! I too had nasty emails from them and I never even used them...just emailed them w/ questions! I found them to be very condensing...glad to see I wasn't the only one!
