Well I made a big step for me. I have not been great about exercising lately because I got bored with just the treadmill. Well I have been thinking about doing something else to mix it up over the last 2 weeks or so.

Anyway, I went to Target over lunch and bought the WATP DVD's (1, 2 and 3 mile) and a Yoga for the Inflexible DVD that looks quite interesting. I hope that I am able to start adding these DVD's into my program so that I don't get so bored. If I give myself one day off a week then I can do 2 days of treadmill, 2 days of WATP and 2 days of yoga a week.

Wish me luck (especially with the yoga ;) )!!! :)

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good for you Becka!!! Hope you enjoy them!!!!

Good for you Becka! They say that variety is the spice of life, so maybe mixing it up will do the trick. Good luck and enjoy!

Oh, Becka, I bet you LOVE those WATP tapes! Especially if you like walking on the treadmill. I dislike the treadmill very much, but will do it if I can't get to my tapes. I love how QUICKLY the tapes go and how we work the upper body as well!

Good luck! Good with the Yoga too! ;)

Variety is the spice of life.

I have been alternating my WATP tapes doing abs one day and then wieght the next. I want to get the new tapes "express" I think they are called also.

the WATP DVD's (1, 2 and 3 mile)

What are these????

WOO-HOO!!!

Way to go, Becka!!!!! The title of that yoga DVD cracked me up! :) I hope you enjoy it! I love yoga (when I do it) and I should make more time for it. Let me know what you think of it! You will be amazed at finding "hidden stress" places on your body when you try it. When I was doing it faithfully, I felt so at peace. I really hope you like it!!! :)

I'm so proud of you! You're really making some great strides! Keep up the great work!!!

The title certainly attracted me to look at it! ;) I misquoted the title it is actually called "Yoga for Inflexible People". :teeth:

I liked the sound of it because it sounds like it has so many options especially for targeting certain areas. Here is the description:

Yoga isn't just for people who are already supple--it's a way to become more flexible. Yoga for Inflexible People presents modifications and props to make traditional poses accessible to people who could not otherwise perform them comfortably or correctly. You get more than 35 workouts and about four hours of instruction and practice in all. Choose a general workout, focus on an area of the body (shoulders, legs, hips, and back), or select a peaceful or energizing workout. Within each category, you have a choice of several different 15- to 75-minute series (some seated), much more variety than most videos offer. Some of the poses are beginning level; others are not. Leader Judi Rice demonstrates well, instructing by voice-over, though her expressionless face lacks warmth and personality. You'll need a yoga mat, blocks (or large books), a long strap or belt, a chair, and blankets.
