Big River Grille or Maya Grill

Has anyone eaten at the big River Grille? or the Maya Grill? Thoughts? If you have pics that would be great!!!

I thought the food at BRG was o.k. Nothing great, but not horrible, either However, I love the beer sampler!

A great start or end to an evening for me is getting an outdoor table, ordering a sampler (and maybe food...maybe not!), and watch the action on the Boardwalk. Very relaxing!

So, in a nutshell, I go for the beer and atmosphere, not the food.

Maya Grill is nothing special, but it is priced like a high end restaurant. Certainly not worth a trip to Coronado if you are not staying there. If you are staying there, and having a night in, so to speak, it would be fine, but I would not go out of my way for a meal there.

The food is typical "pub grub", nothing fancy, but not bad.

The beer how ever is awesome ! Try the flight, 7 glasses of the beer on tap. My personal favorite is the I.P.A., hands down the best I've ever had, and that's saying something!!

It was fairly unmemorable - typical chain American food fare, I thought. Decent food, okay service, nothing by way of atmosphere (though the smell knocked me over, it got better than I got used to it)

We'd try it again if we had seating on the Boardwalk. Now that would be cool atmosphere!

We have not tried Maya Grill.
