I am planning a trip in August and I am on the DDP. I am looking to add one more TS dinner. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on Big River Grille & Brewing Works.

We really prefer to eat chicken or pasta dishes. Any suggestions?

:rotfl:

if you're planning on using the DDP, it's my understanding they are no longer participating in it. nor can you make ADRs through Disney Dining for it.

Does not surprise me to hear Big River not participating with DDP as it is not a Disney restaurant (per se) as it has other locations. When we were there a year or so ago the DDE was not accepted either.

Bottom-line with Big River....there are too many other good options to eat at than to go there. Not bad....just not good....quite unremarkable!

In my opinion it's some of the worst food on property but with one of the best locations and some really good beers. With that in mind if you're thinking of going there for the food, I'd seriously skip it. If you're wanting to go there because of the great location or the brews but realize the food is gonna be sub par and in some instances really awful......then you'll be fine. LOL

DisMN, I totally agree with you on this. Big River Grill has some really terrible food and service. Not worth the time of day.

I've never had dinner at Big River, but it's a must for us for lunch! We go there after a morning at MGM - great service, good food, and beautiful view of the Epcot lake and resorts. My dad LOVES the pulled pork sandwich there; it's his favorite meal at Disney.

Good for a beer and a burger, but not really for pasta or chicken. Service is borderline nonchalant.

I like the BRG&BW but then I like beer, the food is OK but I would not say chicken is their best dish and I do not think pasta is on the menu. They are on the DDP acording to the list of restaurants on this site, you may wish the check the menu. They are not bookable threough Disney reservations as they are not a Disney run restaurant but do take reservations direct.
