Big River Grille and ESPN

Do either of these restaurants take ressies?
Also, is spoodles open for lunch?

no they do not take ADRs. not sure about spoodles.

Hmmm... I believe Spoodles used to be just B'fast and lunch, 7:30-11:00 and 5pm-10pm. Just noticed a lunch menu posted on www.wdwinfo.com though, with a wider selection than the dinner menu.

Anybody know for sure?

The pizza window is open all day/night, noon - midnight.

Neither ESPN nor Big River Grille take reservations. ESPN will get crowded during sporting events but if there's nothing going on, you can easily get a table for a late lunch or early dinner. Big River Grille usually is not crowded unless the parks are crowded.

Spoodles is not open for lunch. The only thing open at that time is their pizza take out window.

Actually, you can make reservations for Big River. Our travel agent (Small World Vacations, WDWVacations.com) had to call them direct to make the reservations. For some reason you cannot make them through Disney Dining. I know they are not a Disney owned restaurant but some others are not (like Rain Forest) and you can make ressies though Disney.
Anyway, we had lunch there in June on our last day. The food was pretty good but I thought too expensive since it is not a Disney restaurant. The inside of the place needs a good updating. Since they only have single doors to the outside the flies get in easily and disturb your meal. Bottom line is that I would not go back there again. There are too many better places to eat on the Boardwalk. Check out all the dining options on allearsnet.com....dining....menus. Look over the options at all the Epcot resorts....Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan and Dolphin.
