big river brewing company ?

Hi all

Does the Big River Brewing at the Boardwalk take PS? Before I waste another dime (or two) and 20+ minutes I thought I would ask here.

We arrive at the dolphin about 5ish on Sunday the 15th and my girls would like to hit the boardwalk. I know that after a day of travel we will want to stop for something good to eat. I think the atmosphere, especially the outside tables and food would suit our first night dining needs. I have always seen large crowds waiting so I would want a PS if possible.

Any reviews would also be appreciated.

hhhmm......i don't think they take PS. we ate there for lunch in september and enjoyed it immensely. my husband said his burger was better than that at beaches and cream. (i was surprised by that comment!) go and enjoy your meal; you will be glad you did. happy eating!

Unless something has changed that I don't know about (and that happens a lot at WDW!!) they do NOT take PS.
I like the burgers and meatloaf, plus usually one of the microbrews appeals to me. Sitting outside on the boardwalk is a good idea---.

They do take Reservations and Priority Seatings but they are not a Disney resturant so you would need to call 407-560-0253.

They will make a reservation (in the defintion of reservation that we all know and love) prior to day of arrival. If it is day of they will make a Priority Seating (the Disney Definition for reservation)

We were on the Boardwalk in May, and they were telling folks who walked up to the outdoor BRG podium that it was first come first served!!!

When we went, we didn't have to wait at all, we just walked right up to the podium and were seated right away. (OH boy, I miss their ribs...OMG...I'm hungry, I just remembered how yummy they were! )

We ate there on our trip to Disney last week. We didn't have a PS, and got seated right away. We had our choice of an outside table, or eating inside. We started out outside, but it got just a tad chilly (my husband was wearing shorts, and when the sun went down, it got a little cold), so we moved inside, with no problem. I did see other people eating outside there. We had a good salad there!

When we were there in June,they did not take a PS but instead we made a traditional reservation.
Food and service were horrible though.

My mother and I attempted to eat lunch here our final day of a quickie AKL stay. We were seated promptly outside, which is where we wanted to be. From there, it went downhill. It seemed NO ONE wanted to wait on us. We waited over 25 minutes. We saw people order, people check out, new people being seated and ordering. I tried to make eye contact with many of the servers but they would quickly look away as if they didn't want our table. Short of screaming, it was all I could do and still feel good about myself. They were not busy at all. Eventually I told my mom we were done, and we walked away. I probably should have said something at the podium but I knew enough of the servers had "almost" seen us to know that we weren't being properly served and had given up. All I can say is... they missed a great tip and I won't be back during our future stay at the Dolphin.
