When I was at VMK Central I overheard two workers saying that Series 3 of the VMK Cards will be out this Fall. Now I am sorry if this is not news and some people already know it but I thought it was great! Too bad I won't be there. My family and I are never going back they think we have seen enough.

I hope that is true. I hope they start the rumored new Pirates of the Caribbean quest. But with the online game they may not have an in park Pirates quest as rumored. My family is going back to WDW for Thanksgiving, hopefully they will have the new cards out by then.

They told me about a series three but I can't remember if anyone said when. As it was described o me there would "have" to be 4 cards in the pirate quest which would finish out series two and then series three would start.

I am ready for series one to be retired.

Series Two only has 3 cards left not 4. I am not saying that the Pirates Quest would not finish out series 2 only that if they told your 4 items they would have to be mistaken.

To update your list, Mal, these are no longer DL only. They are also obtained at WDW.

It isn't well known, but several people already assume this to be true considering almost all of the cards (both series 1 and 2) will expire on September 30, 2006. (So if you haven't entered those codes...better do so soon .)

Blair, I know it is frustrating when parents won't go back because they have seen it. My parents never understood why anyone would want to go to Disneyland more than once!!

But remember, it is not true that YOU will never return, because someday you will be independent and can go back.... maybe not soon, though.

I myself don't have any cards to verify anything, nor the items, but I believe it's only series one, or a portion of whatever, that expires in 2006. The others expire in 2007. This is just what I've learned from reading other posts since I don't go until January and really really hope I'll be able to get an Animal Kingdom room then!

That is correct Series Two expire 9-30-2007

As to the 3 cards/4 items issue remaining for Series 2 and rumored 4 items, maybe one of the cards will have two items on it (like the pirate stool and stick or the animator's desk and stool).

A cards expiration date differes from the retirement date. There are a lot of cards that are retired that have an expiration date of 2006 so that has no indication of when a card will retire.
