Hello all! My wife and I will be attending MVMCP on Dec 5th and I was trying to find a good place for a late lunch before the party. We're wanting to go into the park by 4pm. We don't have park tickets for that day other than the party tickets, so it will need to be at a resort or Disney Springs.

We're wanting TS, will be paying for the meal (no dining plan), and would prefer somewhere uniquely Disney as we only have two days in the park this trip.

Thanks!

I would pick a place in one of the monorail resorts...
Grand Floridian Cafe
The Wave
Kona Cafe

If time permits or if you have time to kill, you can check out the holiday displays too.

I would second the area around the park. If you finish early, you can always browse, view the hotels to kill a little time.
For QS I'd say Contempo Cafe in the Contemporary or Roaring Forks at Wilderness Lodge. Captain Cooks in Poly is ok and I think GF has a weaker QS spot.

If you want Disney Springs well, you are unlimited there to what you'd like.
Blaze Pizza, WGP Cafe (near the Christmas store) D-Lux Buger & Earl of Sandwich are your best bets BUT they now have many kiosk type QS food options in Disney Springs that serve everything from sausage to crepes so it depends on how much and how quick you'd like to eat.
When we went a few years ago, we got in at 4 and went strait to The Plaza for an early dinner that let us out before the party in time to ride a few rides and plan our party strategy.

I would definitely stick with one of the monorail or boat resorts. I haven't eaten there yet, but I know people are liking Geyser Point at Wilderness Lodge! That would probably be my pick if I was in your shoes.

I'd choose either Grand Floridian Cafe ( so beautiful ) or Kona Cafe. If you do Kona and have extra time on your hands, the walk from Poly to GF is very relaxing, and then you can catch the monorail or a boat to MK from GF.

I would consider Whispering Canyon at WL. With the skillets, antics and atmosphere, I would say it’s uniquely Disney.
Last time we did Whispering Canyon for a late lunch it was a ghost town. We arrived around 2:30, left an hour later, and I think there were maybe 3 other tables filled in the entire place.

I haven't done the Wave for lunch (yet), but both dinner and breakfast were excellent. That also gives you the option to park at MK parking (if you have a car), then monorail to the Contemporary and walk to the MK after you eat.

Uniquely Disney, I think GF Café might be a good choice. It's lovely and quiet, but self-parking is a LONG walk from the main building. It's a good menu, and we've never had a food complaint - but the service can sometimes be downright s l o w :sad2:.
Kona possibly, but I'm reading a lot of unhappy reviews since the menu changes.

Thanks for all the good advice everyone!

We booked Whispering Canyon. It sounds like a good, filling meal, and we're excited about seeing the lodge at Christmas time.
