Cathy, there are some very small people in this world. I can't understand why people think that everyone from a certain city, town, country, or whatever is bad, because of what a government official may say, or do. Please know there are so many of us that don't feel any animosity towards you, or any other Canadian on this board. ME especially.

If this is because of the country you live in, please, oh please know that it's a very small person who looks at where you live and not at you as a person. We all know how you feel here. I hope you feel better soon.

OK...so this is my second post on this thread.....*sigh* Cathy....it bothers me greatly that anyone's comments could make you feel this way! .....

I've said this before....but I spend alot of time on the North end of the farm which borders with Canada....I went to school at a place that was on "the border".... I can honestly say...I've NEVER met a Canadian Citizen who was not a wonderful beautiful person...who always seemed to me...more of a friend, a member of our 'family'...than anything else......Aside from the longest unprotected border in the history of world (I believe) Canadians and Americans share a proud and honorable history.....your people...and your government has stood by the US and it's government and people thur countless military conflicts...NOT the least of which have been the First world war, the second world war....and many, many other "conflicts"....WE as citizens of the US are NOT always happy with the positions of our Government....as I'm sure the same can be said for your's....but...and this is a BIG BUT....over all...throughout it ALL...the PEOPLE of America and Canada...have been...and REMAIN...the best of friends!!!

so...I'll hop off my soapbox....but suffice it to say.....that there are MILLIONS of American citizens who have and Still LOVE our brothers and sisters to our north!

To CC and other Canadians who come here, and to anyone else from other places, please don't be put off by some nasty comments from a few people. I believe that most of us understand that people should be judged on an individual basis by their own actions and comments and not by what their governments say. People should also have the right to state their opinions, pro or con, no matter where they're from.

CC, I'm real sorry that you feel unwelcome right now. Believe me when I say that you are one of those people that have built the DIS into what it is (and I mean that in a VERY positive way ). I hope that you feel better about this very soon.
