We are planning a trip in May. It will be me, DH, DD 11, DD 6, DD 7mos, and my DM. My best friend and her family DH, DS 5 & DD 7 mos will be joining us. We are looking for the least expensive option for staying on site without staying at the All Stars.

I'm thinking maybe 3 rooms at a moderate. Or is there a suite or something that would work better??

Any help would be appreciated!!!!

Check into renting points at DVC resort. A 2-bedroom sleeps 8 adults & has a port-a-crib for a baby. You would need another port-a-crib for other baby. Keep in mind that one of the beds is a pull out sofa in the 2-BR. A grand villa would sleep 12. Both of these units include a full size kitchen and 2 full baths. We recently rented points on the Rent/Trade Boards.

Another option is renting 2 cabins in FW which also includes a full kitchen. You would then have 2 completely separate units for both familes. A cabin sleeps 6 (1 bunk, 1 queen & 1 murphy bed in LR, plus a port-a-crib)

While these may not be the least expensive options per night, you would have the kitchen and that would save on eating all your meals out. We find getting these type of units much more enjoyable than getting a smaller hotel room and always having to eat out.

Hi! Just wanted to say that I think your family will be tight in a cabin with 3 adults & 3 kids. 1 bathroom will probably not be enough. And the only TV is in the living room.

I looked at the points for old key west (the cheapest DVC resort) and while I think the units there look great, it will probably not be cheaper than 3 mods, depending on what kind of specials you can get. For a week, the point total is 263. At $10 pp it's $375 per night (no tax). The beds are king in BR1, 2 queens in BR2 and sofa bed in LR. 2 bathrooms.

The moderates all have nice pools and beautiful grounds. There are a lot of posts comparing them! Have fun figuring it all out :)
