I got back from Universal/Islands of Adventure a few weeks ago and just wanted to ease some peoples minds, if I can.
Im a big girl-almost 6 tall, chubby (294), and busty. I was nervous about being able to fit on anything at Universal/Islands but, with the help of modified seating on a few rides-I was able to fit on everything that we had time to get to at both parks.
We rode Harry Potter, Dragons Challenge, Hulk, Spiderman, the Mummy, Simpsons, ET etc.
I was worried about being embarrassed trying out the modified seats in front of everyone but honestly, I dont think anyone was paying attention to me except for the people that were in the same boat that I was.
The attendant at Harry Potter was nice & she said that I wouldnt have a problem with the new modified seat. And they didnt make me try it again at the 2nd seat test stop. The ride was awesome!!!
The attendant at Dragons Challenge was really cool. I got in the modified seat & that was even a little tight because of my aforementioned bust but he was like if you dont mind, you can definitely squish in, no problem! Ride it! So I did. Twice!
I was lucky & had a great friend with me who squished me into every seat & harness so that I didnt have to have a stranger do it but I think that would have been fine, too.
I worried & worried and it worked out fine & we all had a great time!
