I hate change. I don't think I can say that any harsher. I HATE, HATE, HATE change. I probably stay in situations longer than I should because....I HATE CHANGE. Did I mention I hate change?

Well, many of you know my house-mate decided he wants us to go our separate ways. Although I get lots of mixed messages, there are some things I should just realize.

Anyway, I sent in my resume and all my information to a school district where my sister lives. I can't imagine staying in this town if I am not with SO. But, my best friend is here, too.

I just wanted to tell you that I think it was a big step for me to even apply.

Did I mentione...I HATE CHANGE? Scares me to death. I just cry everytime I think of moving, learning my way around a new place, living alone, a 9 yr relationshp ending....all of it. I remember as clearly as yesterday how happy SO used to be to see me. To think...9 years for nothing. S***S

That is a big step. Change can be scary. Best of luck to you.:D

I hope you hear something from your application. It will be great to have your sister around. I'm sure she'll give you the info you'll need in the new town.

It is so hard to move to a place alone, you should be proud of yourself for attempting it! Do you have any pets? I've always had a cat or two to live with so I didn't feel so alone.

SO and I have 2 kitties. I would want Princess Diamond, but can;t take a kitty with me until I find my own place. My sister says I can stay with them as long as I need....

I can gfet a new kitty in my own place. But, there is MUCH that haws to de decided before I leave this house with my name on the mortgage

I wish you all the best! You took a big step. And your right - be real careful since your name is on the mortgage.

Sending PD your way.

Jams..

So, you sound a little tiny bit like you don't like change?? :)

Best of luck to ya, I'm not a big fan of it either

Awww, Carol, you are always so sweet and kind to everyone here, I just wish I could give you a big ole hug!!!!

Blech, I hate change too. But I think it will be good for you to be with your sister. I'm going to say a prayer for you right now that the application you sent in draws some interest and that you can make a new life for yourself. Its never to late to start over, and you really don't want to live your life in limbo......

{{{cyber hugging you tight}}} Carol. Keep us posted!

Part of me wnats to make sure that if I "sign over" my part when he refinances, then just hope he will let me have the car and part of the furniture.

PArt of my says to make sure I can get everything I can...but then I don't want him to hate women and think they are all after things

I know I got rid of all my furniture over the years because he said I would never need it. I can;t afford to go out and buy new stuff.

I HATE CHANGE, Who knows, though. I might never hear from the school disctrict wshere I just faxed in my information.

I hate change in a big way just like you but I changed 6 yrs ago and I did it. You can do it, just think of the little engine going up hil and repat, I can do it, I can do it then at some point you will here yourself say I DID IT!

Gail- I think that train had a little more steam than I do :)

Carol, I hate change too... but sometimes it is for the best :) Wishing you all the best in your search :)

Awww sweetie change is hard but a lot of times it works out for the best. Try to keep positive. I will keep you in my prayers that things are going to work out the best for you too.

Carol, big hugs to you for taking the step of APPLYING. :)

Change is HARD, but you know what...it also is sometimes the only way to GROW. :) I'm a big believer in the old "a door closes, then a window opens" adage. I've LIVED it, both personally and professionally. Often what seem to be the darkest days and the hardest choices comes right before an amazing new phase of life. :)

Making important changes is very scary. Just hang in there. Things will work out.

Will you be able to have your son with you again, if you move?

My on will probably stay with my parents to stay in the school and friends. Besides, I might have to work an additional job if I teach again

hope you get the job, that will be the start of turning everything around

{{{HUGS}}}

I don't like change either, but sometimes it is for the best. Down the road you will be much happier!

Change must not be looked at as a negative. There can be so many positives out of change. So refreshing to have a new outlook on life!

What a wonderful adventure you'd be heading towards if you did get that job near your sister! New places to see, new people to meet. It would be such a wonderful journey for you!

I wish you the best Carol.

Rose

Am I the only person in the world that LOVES change? I get bored easily :)

Good luck, Carol. I didn't realize you were still there with phantom poster. Tell him if he ever touches your PC again...

Just cuz it's change, doesn't mean it has to be bad though. Just scary at first. I got separated while living in PA in 2/01, and decided to pick up and move from PA, where I'd lived most of my life, all the way to Oregon, by myself. It was scary, but also very enlightening and envigorating, and I now feel more independent and am soooooooooo glad I did.

Go for it, and best of luck.
