Does anyone know the times the entertainment is at Biergarten? When does it start and how woften? I have PS at 1 p.m. Will we see the entertainment?

When we went last fall, they had the entertainment on the 1/2 hour so it would be at 1:30. Most of the time, you do get to see it unless you just miss it coming in or you are very fast eaters. I have seen reports that some days it's on the hour so you might want to try to get there about 12:50 just in case it starts at 1:00.

Sorry, I wasn't much help was I??? I really don't think it's consistant all the time, but you should see it if you are there at least an hour.

::MickeyMo Yes, I'd like to know what to expect as well. We'll be trying it for the first time in Jan. We have a 12pm ADR. ::MinnieMo

How is the food at Biergarten these days?

We're thinking of trying it this next trip.

I believe the shows (they are amazing! I love those guys!) run every half hour. I don't know the exact times, but when you make reservations or whatever, you can ask and they'll tell you the times.

The food is amazing there.

When I was there in February, it was definitely on the half hour because we saw two complete shows. When I made the 90 days ADRs for this trip, I asked the dining CM and she said it was still every half hour.

normally i don't care for buffets but i liked this( maybe cause it is kind of "home cooking for us) i thought it had a ncie selection of food anyone would eat( ie roasted chicken) but also some german stuff , pretzel bread like that at lecellier too and raspberry florentine cookies i would have loved to stuff all my pockets with but resisted the urge :) (CM:" uh ma'm why is there raspberry jelly dripping down your capris?" me:" :confused3: ???" then burst into tears..i don't lie well)

Not big fans of German food (and we should know we are from WI).
Have reservations at the Japanese restaurant instead. Can we stop
and have a beer (like I said - we are from WI) and see the entertainment or is it strictly for the diners?

DH is half-German, so we made ADRs for lunch on the day we were at Epcot. The food isn't great authentic German food, but for a buffet all-you-can-eat, you can't beat a cheap meal! The show was funny and entertaining, it begins on the hour and lasts 15-20 minutes. We arrived at 12.45pm and the show started just when we were on our main course and into dessert.

I do believe it is only for diners. I asked last time because I didn't want to eat dinner there, but I wanted the brats outside. They wouldn't let me in.

Okay, I hadn't even thought about having beer at Disney, but now I am intrigued. Can anyone answer some questions:

1: Do you have to have reservations? How far in advance do they take them (90 days like the character breakfasts?)

2: Do they have kid friendly food? (chicken fingers etc.)

3: What kind of beer? I read something about keg tapping, do they brew their own? I'd hate to plan everthing and find that I had to drink Bud.

Thanks!!!

i think the food is pretty kid friendly as it had roasted chicken, roast meat and some plain things although i do not remember the usual chicken fingers and mac and cheese

Thanks for the replies, and the link to the menu. My kids will be fine with meatballs, and rotisserie chicken. They have recently taken a liking to drumsticks, since I got a rotisserie for my grill :)
