I need help. We have ADRs for luch at the Biergarten for one day on our trip in December. I know I won't like it, as well as my son, but my husband and parents will love it, and my two daughters probably will like it too. I've looked over the menu on allears and I'm just wondering what is there really that picky people will like? I know I can always just take my son elsewhere to eat, but I would like to stick together as a family.

HELP!

There is hot dogs, mashed potatoes, roasted chicken, mac and cheese, fresh fruit, salads, cheeses, breads, veggies, lots of food for picky eaters...it is so good there!

You know I expected to hate it too. I'm really picky about meat. I eat meat when its mixed in with other things like pastas, mexican dishes or casseroles, but don't really like it alone, and I can't stand to eat anything on bones. And my sister in law is the pickiest eater I've ever met, if she ran the world we'd all eat ONLY french bread, Cheezits and sliced cheese. Seriously.
But we (family of about 12- BROAD range of tastes and appetites) found that the Biergarten was the ONLY restaurant we ALL liked. BIG surprise to all of us! If it sets your mind at ease any, the general consensus was that most of the food SOUNDS weirder than it actually IS.

Since you don't specify what types of food you like/dislike, I may be totally off the mark here, but I would think that the:
fried potatoes, chicken schnitzel (chicken breasts pounded thin, breaded and deep fried), with gravy (a few types of gravies to choose from), and the breads in the bread basket (pretzel, sourdough, and a few others), might be safe bets. Then there are a variety of salads and many other items that you can pick and choose from to round out your meal. And if all else fails, theres the dessert bar! I always save plenty of room for the apple strudel which I drowned in the vanilla sauce:thumbsup2.

Hopefully, you'll be surprised and find that you like the food too, but if not, you can always just sit back and enjoy the show at least!

We had dinner there in May, & there wasn't too much on the buffett that I cared for. But I didn't care...I was sooooo full all week from the DP, that I didn't care if I didn't have too much to eat at that meal. So it worked out for me.

I think hyou all made my mind up! I think I will enjoy it, as well as DS. THe chicken schnitzel with gravy you described sounds amazing!
