My family and I went to Biergarten for the first time yesterday and really enjoyed it! I'd recommend to anyone. The food was good and the entertainment was a lot of fun. My DD7 and DD3 enjoyed dancing while the music was played.

Also, due to the way it set up, you share a large table with other people. We sat next to a very nice couple from Buffalo, NY who gave my DD7 a splash mountain decoration for her magic band after learning it was her favorite ride. He also mentioned he was a disboards reader, but I never got his name. So if you see this send me a PM. My DD7 called them the kindest couple she had ever met.

Sounds like a wonderful experience. I have always wanted to try the food there too. I love hearing stories of kind people!!!

Love Biergarten! It's great to hear about meeting nice people. We once shared a table with a couple from Japan on their honeymoon. They were so sweet! A lot of fun!

How nice! We loved the Biergarten! It has been a very long time since I've been Epcot, but I was really impressed with the authenticity of some of their dishes at the time.

Thanks for your comments! My DS and his DW will be joining us in December and they plan on having a lunch at Biergarten. I am so glad to tell them about your experience.

Thanks for posting this. I'm coming up on 180 days and I'm torn between Biergarten and Via Napoli.....this might just sway my decision!

I absolutely Love Biergarten, my DW, ( not so much ) LoL She's not a big-(or lil) meat eater. Kids liked it though. Great atmosphere!:thumbsup2

Tough decision...If you've eaten at one already I'd say try the other.. I really do like both though..If you're family likes/loves meat, then this will be a good meal... Via Napoli we love too though.... Never went till around 3, 4 years ago, because we were huge Tutto fans...

Either route, have a great time whichever you choose.

Sharing tables with other guests is one of our favorite features of Biergarten. We've been fortunate on all trips but for 1 to have very pleasant and talkative table-mates. The one trip we didn't wasn't bad, they just weren't interested in chatting with us. I suspect many don't realize the seating arrangements and prefer just to keep to themselves. Nothing wrong with that of course.

We've eaten at the Biergarten several times and it's a favorite even though we did have one "bad" experience which turned out well. There was an older party of two, both women who sat across from each other at the table and were next to the rail (we were on the riser level). Then there was a couple, male and female, who sat across from each other next to them. Then my husband and I who sat across from each other as well to balance things out. The couple in between us and the older women never said a word, not even to each other and we were told how to enjoy the buffet and we ordered drinks. The older women had water and something else, my husband and I got the big beers. The couple in between didn't say a word. Then we were joined by s single younger male who sat next to me. We all went and got food and came back. The couple would hadn't said a word never said a word, but my husband and the young man started a conversation about Germany since my husband had visited and the young man had been stationed there and was eating on his own because his family didn't like German food but he loved it and had visited the real Biergartens. The two older women were chatted across the table and the other couple never said a word, not even to each other. The finished their meals in about ten minutes and the left. Without a check. After they left, my husband and I sighed a collective approval and the young man agreed with us. Then we turned to the tow older women and found out they were from Philadelphia and I had grown up close to there so we all slid down and had second and third plates and lots of desserts and talked from quite a while. Finally, my husband asked what the time was and we were astonished to find out we only had twenty minutes to pay the bills and dash out for Illuminations! We had started the dinner at 7 and while those ten or fifteen minutes with that one couple was uncomfortable, the five of us had a great time after.

So, go to the Biergarten for fun and have your own.
