I see the menu and it just says schnitzel.

Pork? Veal? Chicken? It's breaded I'm assuming, but is it smothered in gravy or can you choose to smother or not to smother?

According to the Disney Biergarten page its Pork. It's listed under "Boisterous German Food" - At biergarten-style tables, enjoy such rotating selections as bratwurst, rotisserie chicken, pork schnitzel and a variety of salads.

Things do change though several years ago it was chicken, but could also be optional too.

Thanks, I just jumped straight to the menu.

It's not in gravy on the buffet. I'm not a huge fan of gravy, so I can't remember if there is gravy there to put on it or not.

Sigh, I really, really, really miss Biergarten. The food was always good, hot, and SO reminiscent of the stuff I grew up with!

Still my younger sons favorite place in all of WDW, and he asks me to make schnitzel, the nudel gratin, tomato salad, and hunter gravy for each birthday.

The Schnitzel is sometimes chicken and sometimes pork. That is the best answer I have. I prefer the Chicken. Look for a thinner cut to start as the pork is good thinner. There is gravy if you want... The meatballs are also very good. The menu however will vary with what they have. When they have the fresh ham I always ask for a piece of the skin... yeah but is so good... There are many good options don't skip over the salads. The tomato salad is very good and the (German) Potato salad. If they have the Mac and Cheese it is amazing... It is not Disney it is a baked mac and cheese.
