So I haven't been to the BG since I was a kid. Booked it for our late March trip and can't wait, especially now that it is back to a buffet.

There wasn't dinner availability so I booked it for lunch. I know the menu is the same, but those that have been for both, do you have a prefer. Seems like a big lunch but sure we'll walk it off ha. I do have trackers in place for a dinner time res.

Also, since the buffet has returned, how has it been compared to pre-Covid? People still think it's good/worth it? It's expensive but the atmosphere + buffet + different style of food is appealing to me.

We love going for lunch reservations instead of dinner. It's the hottest part of the day and the busiest time for the parks. We have a nice, leisurely lunch in the A/C while others are sweating it out waiting in long lines or fighting for a quick service table.

Love Beirgarten - the atmosphere and entertainment are wonderful.

We go for lunch every trip. It's a nice break in the middle of the day. And a couple of beers puts you in just the right mood to spend the afternoon exploring the World Showcase! I will say that, in my opinion, the food quality has declined recently. We were there in December and we found many of the buffet foods to be, frankly, not good. (For instance, many of the savory foods seem to have been loaded with sugar, which really doesn't work.)

I'm not really paying for the food. To me, the value of the experience is the atmosphere, the beer, and the show. And the fact that it is a buffet makes it much easier to identify the items you like best and then fill up on those. So I will gladly continue to go there every trip and have a great time. But I do wish they would give a little more TLC to the food. (Five or ten years ago, it was really good.) And, of course, I wish they were able to bring back the CMs from Germany.

We went in December, food was back to the same pre-covid. (at least that I can remember) I usually fill up on beer cheese soup and pretzel rolls so...

Do they do the entertainment during lunch reservations? We've been twice but only for dinner. Thoroughly enjoy it.

I believe the entertainment runs all day, like every hour or something?

Seeing videos of the food, it all looks pretty amazing. And of course the big steins of beer! I haven't been probably since I was a kid so I'm really looking forward to it.

We just got back and had dinner at BG 1/31 and it was AMAZING and just as I remembered it from 2016 (our last visit). There was plenty of food and a wonderful varitey of items. (I think the beer cheese soup is better at BG than it was at Le Cellier!) As others have mentioned the buffet and entertainment are back. The only Covid holdover seems to be no sharing of tables, which is fine with me.

One sad point about World Showcase is there are no longer CMs representing their countries due to the pandemic. (At least, we didn't encounter many.) It was not as much fun to not have their POV and information on the food, etc...

Yes, the current posted schedule....1:15, 2:15, 3:15, 4:45, 5:55, 7:00 & 8:05pm, the show lasts 25 minutes. I think most average diners will see the whole show at least one.
