I am sorry that it isn't as authentic and I am sorry for those who liked the black forest cake, but on the other hand, I am glad that I will be able to eat dessert now. DD and I personally did not care for the desserts they had but chocolate mousse cake is our favorite.
What a shame. Not that it's great black forest cake to begin with, but there isn't much there anyway. I do like the apple streussel. I guess its good that there isn't much. I'm so stuffed anyways!
Whether you like Black Forest cake or not, I think the important point being made is that it's a very traditional German dessert and its absence is another sign of the menus at WDW becoming more and more generic...even at an ethnic restaurant. That seems to be crossing a line. We're not just talking counter service desserts any more.
I'm done with the TS restaurants at WDW. They are overpriced, generic, crowded, and offer boring food anymore. It's sad that dining at WDW has become so predictable.
