Which would you recommend? We are a family of 4... 2 boys who will be 7 and 4 but are SN. We are debating and looking for recommendations. TIA!

My husband and ds 14 love Biergarten. The girls and I dislike the flavors. Unless you are adventurous, I would play it safe and go to WCC. We were just there Friday night and had a wonderful meal and time.

what is "sn"? please forgive me if it is simple. arriving home just this am about 1 am and my brain is not fully functioning.

I say go for Biergarten!!! We tried WCC, but for some reason we did better at Biergarten. THey do seat you with others , BUT we requested to be put up against the railing. If you see some pics of the restaurant they are tables set up for 8 or 10, so we took the section of 4 seats with 2 against the railing and put our boys there. they loved watching the show, and ate chicken legs, rolls, salad, roasted potatoes, and dessert. They did have mac n cheese but our sensory issues make that a big no no! WCC my son thought was louder, and freaked out when he was given a "metal skillet" as a plate, silly you can't eat off of that!!! So if took a while for the waitress to bring him out a regular plate. Just our experience, but they keep asking to go back there! It was one of their favorites:love:

Definately go to biergarten! It's great food. And I know some really, really picky eaters who can get their fill there. Plus the show is great fun!

We've done both, and DH, DD and I would pick Biergarten hands down. DS prefers WCC. As with anything it's a matter of taste. The entertainment at Biergarten is loads of fun and the food is very good with lots of variety. DS can't really say what it is about Biergarten he didn't like.

I don't know what kind of special needs your kids have. At Biergarten you might be seated with strangers, and there is music and sometimes dancing, but only for about 20 minutes every so-often. WCC is always pretty boisterous, but the food is served to you at your table, not a buffet.

Both boys are on the autism spectrum... #1 (7y - Aspergers dx) is very high functioning and does fine generally, #2 (4y- Autism) has a lot more sensory issues but generally does okay in restaurants even noisey ones... he tends to do better with a constent level of noise then sudden outbursts though.

I would pick Biergarten. We thought the food was better there, and there isn't as much noise and people running everywhere. Depending on what your children's needs are, the atmosphere at WCC might be overwhelming. All of the kids in our group didn't like WCC just because of the noise and yelling.

I would stay away from WCC. The servers will yell out time to time especially for ketchup or bdays. Biergarten has none of that except for the beginning of the music.

I just made the same choice after diliberating between the two and went with Biergarden because we will be at Epcot that day and did not want to leave Epcot as the illuminations show is later in the evening and we wanted to see that too

Beirgarten is sooo much better foodwise and atmosphere wise than WCC

Biergarten would be the unanimous choice by DH and I. We wouldn't recommend WCC to anyone--awful food (DH got sick on the skillet) and even worse service; Biergarten has a great selection of food and fun entertainment and a dance floor for kids to let off some steam if so desired.

We just came back from a trip the first week of December. We are a family of 6 with 4 boys ages 12,9,6,and 2. My 9 yr old. DS has Asperger's. For what it's worth, our least favorite meals were Beirgarten and Whispering Canyon. I know everyone has different opinions about restaurants but I want to reiterate....you are seated with other people at Beirgarten. So depending on how comfortable you are sharing your kids' special needs with others it could be great or stressful. We sat with a lovely older couple, but for me it still added to a stressful dinner. Whispering Canyon was fine (nothing stressful), the food was fine, the antics were fine, but I have no desire to go back.

:thumbsup2
We just went...the food was okay but the service was truly terrible. I can put up with a lot, being a server myself, so if I'm complaining, it was bad! Also, the noise is random and startling, not consistent.
