Biergarten? Or Teppan Edo?

It will be only DD 6 and I, on the DDP. We're Disney veterans, but DD has never been to either of these two places (I've been to Teppan Edo but not Biergarten). We're not picky eaters so I know we'll find something we like at either restaurant (although the desserts at Teppan Edo aren't to our liking, and the new kids fruit cup dessert I saw in a recent review just downright stinks).

DD is bored by too many 'regular' restaurants with no entertainment. We're doing Akershus on another day. The aquarium at Coral Reef doesn't interest her, though I'd like to try going there some day. We've been to Garden Grill several times and like it, but want to try something new.

This will be our arrival day ADR, so our first Disney meal of the trip. We don't mind sitting with others since the two of us will be alone together the entire trip.

With entertainment as a top consideration I've narrowed our choices down to Biergarten and Teppan Edo. I just can't decide which one to choose. I could use some help.

Let me know which you would choose and why. If you'd like to give me your reviews I'd appreciate those as well.

I love Teppan Edo and we do it each trip. The chefs are very entertaining and they interact with the folks at their table. I also enjoy the food very much.

I love both of these places! We are going to go to both on our next trip in September. Our first meal will be at Whispering Canyon Cafe... I want to go on the monorail and then take the boat from the MK over to the Wilderness Lodge. Whichever you choose... it will be great!

I say Beirgarten, the food, music and the atmosphere are the best! We have a fantastic local hibachi place that is better and give you more food for a cheaper price so we skip Japan...

It's really a personal choice. We love Teppan Edo and really didn't enjoy Biergarten. But that was only because we love Japanese food and discovered we really don't like german. The atmosphere at both is alot of fun.

No doubt you'll enjoy whichever you choose.

I voted for Biergarten. Honestly I've never been to Teppan Edo, but we have many teppan style restaurants where we live, so not sure if I'm missing much there. Biergarten has a great atmosphere and music/dancing, give it a try!

Biergarten!!! It's one of our fave restaurants in WDW. We plentiful food options are all delicious & the entertainment is awesome. Plus, the atmosphere itself is enough to keep any kid's attention.

The atmosphere is great at Biergarten!! I think it is one of the best themed restaurants at WDW! The food is really good - lots of choices. My kids loved the potato leek soup so much I had to e-mail Disney for the recipe and now I make it often at home! The oompa band is a lot of fun too!

Our family has done both, and my girls prefer Teppan Edo they like the chef cooking in front of you.

My boys vote for Teppan Edo.....it's the one and only restaurant they requested for our upcoming trip.
