Biergarten OR Round Up?

Hello! My husband and I are trying to decide if we should eat at Biergarden or Round Up when we go to WDW in Sept! Any suggestions?

Biergarden. We did both in June. Roundup is a very cool place to eat, but the food is lack luster. If you want that kind of food, go to Whispering Canyon. Biergarden was tasty and the live entertainment is fun. Our kids (8 & 10) asked to go back to Biergarden the next day. They did not ask about going back to Roundup.

I'll provide the alternate viewpoint :) We find Whispering Canyon has gone way downhill since they redid the menu. We used to love it. Now, not only are the CM's not nearly as fun as they used to be, but in the past year we've had to send food back twice. We are done with WC.

RoundUp for us was okay (not bad by any means, no raw chicken for example like we were served at WC, but not as good bbq as the Smokehouse but more akin to Flame Tree).

I would say between Biergarten and RoundUp it's more about the atmosphere you think you'd prefer. Very different experiences and theming.

The food is good at both - I just found Roundup to be a bit overwhelming - loud at times, over-the-top theming and all of the food came to our table at once - it was not a relaxing experience. I'm not a huge buffet fan, but the food at Biergarten is good and the atmosphere, even with the band, is more relaxing than Roundup IMHO.

Interesting responses! Not the OP, but something to think about. Is Biergarten back to communal seating? That's been our deal breaker.

I have no idea as I'm not a fan of German food so I typically avoid it unless my husband begs to go, and thankfully we haven't been in a couple of years. For a $50 pp meal, I want my own table.

Hmmmmmm .... tough one as they are so different other than AYCTE and price.

Round Up -
- You get waited on
- You get your own table
- CARNIVORE meal
- Wasn't impressed with sides
- Desserts not up to Biergarten yummy level
- LONG wait to be seated
- Def a "cartoonish" feel to decor.
- If you get "space" room it is blue lit

Biergarten -
- Buffet, serve yourself (only get what you actually want)
- HUGE assortment of sides & salads 😋
- Could really just fill up on the yummy desserts
- More adult atmosphere
- Periodic music vs "Andy's coming" kid stuff
- Might have to share table by Sept (hoping they wait until DDP starts)

I would likely pick Biergarten. At this point while we enjoyed Round Up I don't see me booking it again in the near future.

Me, too, on the table. That was my deal breaker if I had to sit with strangers lol.

If you have the Disney Chase Visa there is a discount at Biergarten for lunch...or at least there was the last time I checked.

Neither, LOL!
We like our TS to feel like a respite
