Last month when we were at Biergarten I asked the lady at the carving station what she was serving and she told me it was Pork and a German Meatloaf. I have tried to Google this and looked at all kinds of recipes but I can not find out what is in this. I asked when we ordered it last month but of course I forgot. It is pink and looks like hot dogs formed into a loaf with spices.

Anyone? :confused3

I think you mean "Fleischkäse". You can google with this word. I am from Germany. Käse means cheese, but this dish is a kind of meatloaf. You can't cook it youself. You have to buy it at a butcher. I hope I could help you.

Hi there, I think you are talking about Leberkäse otherwise known as German meatloaf. It's not an easy item to find in the Northeast. There is a deli in Massachusetts that makes awesome leberkase but if you want something closer to home try Karl Ehmer's in New York. We usually slice it and fry it up in a pan, so delicious! Their website is http://karlehmer.com/leberkase.aspx

How did you like the Biergarden? DH and I were debating on trying it for lunch this trip b/c it seems like a good deal and an AP discount is available. Did they have a good selection and overall what did you think of the place?

Thanks

We really like it. This was our second time there and we took my BIL and SIL too. If you like sausages, sauerkraut, pork, potatoes this is a great place.

The kids liked the dancing in the courtyard. We weren't sure if we would like eating with other people but both times the people have been very nice and friendly.

I will have my dining review with a couple of pictures of it up later today if you want to take a look at my blog (link in my signature). Just go to the restaurant reviews on the right and click on there and it should be the first one up.

Hope this helps some. :)

Thanks I think I'm gonna go ahead and book it we have had German food once before and enjoyed it and this trip is no kids so we may as well try it while we can. I'll be on the lookout for your reviews, I love reading others opinions about Disney food.

Can anyone tell me if the Biergarten lunch buffet price includes soft drinks/tea?

Thanks!
