Just wondering how different the food offerings are at lunch versus dinner. We are hoping to do the CP package for lunch, but I don't want to miss out on lots of the good food if lunch is a smaller offering. DH and our friend haven't been yet, and they LOVE Germany food! Thanks!

The food is not a whole lot different, but they do not do the Oktoberfest show during lunch. THe show is great, so we like to do dinner. If you want a quieter meal, though, do lunch.

They do have the "Oktoberfest show" during lunch. I've been there for lunch twice this year, and have seen the band both times.

I think the band comes about about once an hour and plays for about 20 minutes. If I recall correctly, the Steve Soares website accurately lists the time of the musical performances.

I've never been for dinner, but I know it's quite a bit more expensive. They do offer 1 or 2 more menu items at dinner only, but there's still plenty of different German options at lunch.

just a few food differences. The biggest for me is that sauerbraten is available at dinner. It's up to the individual if that is worth the price difference.

The band does play during lunch it's just later in. It usually starts around 1:15.

I have a 12 lunch...reason I made ADR here is b/c my son would enjoy the band. Maybe I should do dinner instead.
Thanks for the post.

band is performing at these times.

Experience the excitement of Oktoberfest with a festive dinner show in the Biergarten.
Daily at 1:15, 2:15, 3:15, 4:45, 5:55, 7:00 & 8:05pm

These things are always subject to change but that has been pretty standard for a few years.

We did the CP lunch package last year since it was the cheapest option and also did the latest lunch reservation possible this past May (3:00-3:15 I think). Since Disney has jacked the dinner buffets up to a ridiculous $35 bucks (BG was only around $23-$24 like three years ago) lunch is a good alternative and if you take a late lunch some of the dinner only items might start appearing at the buffet.

Thank you for posting the time...we had a 12 lunch but now I changed it to 1 so my son can hear the band.

That was our experience as well. We had a late lunch reservation and stayed about an hour and a half (it takes quite a long time to drink one of those beers!). By the time we were halfway through, the few different dishes offered at dinnertime were making their way onto the buffet table. Quite honestly though, I'd opt for lunch instead of dinner in a heartbeat. Very few differences. Very few.

And yes, the band plays during lunch and the times posted earlier in the thread have been correct for quite some time.
