I'm considering making a reservation for Biergarten, does anyone know if the entertainment performs at both lunch and dinner? Also, how late of a lunch reservation can you make for it still to be considered lunch? It looks like lunch ends at 3:45 p.m. and dinner starts at 4! How does that work?

we ate there a few weeks ago. we had a 4:30 reservation, it was considered dinner, wasn't crowded at all, started filling up when we were leaving around 5:30 or so. The entertainment came out soon after we arrived and was so fun. Our DD 4 didn't even sit at the table, she danced the whole time.

My daughters loved it for dinner (early) and also danced a lot, at the time they were 3 and 18 months...

We've eaten at Biergarten for lunch and dinner. Personally, I preffered it for lunch. It was less crowded and everyone was more relaxed. :)

at lunchtime they dont put out all the entrees.......but it is equally as good.....I like the salmon and the potato leek soup....hope it is still there in May. The saurbraten is not on the lunchtime menu I believe......maybe someone that is going can check out the menus......

The entertainmetn is there for both lunch and dinner. A PP has given you the link for the entertainment schedule.

We had the latest lunch seating we could get the Saturday after Thanksgiving. You will really not notice the change from lunch to dinner. Dinner has a few different things and what they do is to replace a lunch dish with a dinner dish after the lunch one is empty. For everythig else, you won't even be able to tell anything is different. There is NO break from lunch to dinner.

I try and get a seating for about ten or fifteen minutes before the band plays. That way, we can be seated and give our drink orders without the band music in the background. Then we eat during the band and are able to get the check and finish up when the band isn't playing again. Just helps with communication with the server and it guarantees us a full uninterrupted set of the band.

Hi- :o)
We ate at the Biergarten this past July 2008, and we were very disappointed because the menu had changed and the prices were higher. We took a group of High School students to the restaurant because we were excited to share our family's favorite restaurant and found rude servers who were serving the food but the lady who waited our table was very nice and helpful. The menu has changed from the previous years that our family has eaten there- such as the chicken schnitzel has been changed to pork schnitzel, which I cannot eat because I am allergic. I asked one of the servicemen behind the counter if they were making any schicken schnitzel (nicely) and he bit my head off (very rude) saying that they have never made that dish in this restaurant, which I clearly new was wrong since our family has been at Disney World at least 7 times over the past 4 years. He was rude and called me a liar....I was not well, and did not want to stay any longer. The desserts have gone to miniature sized desserts and one of my girl's favorite foods was the pudding in the chocolate cup with mickey sprinkles, which has changed to pudding in a small ceramic cup. We used to think that it was worth the 19.99 for lunch and 26.95 for supper, but now that the service has gone down, the food is not as high of quality, and the cost has gone up to 24.99 for lunch and 34.95 for dinner, I suppose our family will be looking else where for a great disney experience. It is really sad that this restaurant used to be so special to our family, and we have eaten there for years, to be treated as we were with our group. I would suggest you eat at Hollywood and Vine restaurant in Hollywood Studios- it is better service and food for the money.

How do you know when the band starts.....Is it on the hour or something?
thanks

That's the seasonal pricing. During the higher attended dates, the buffets prices are increased. Basically, it's whenever the resort prices are increased due to the season. It's called "holiday" pricing but it's more tied to the seasons of Disney World.

Sorry about your bad experience but having one dish being changed from chicken to pork which you cannot eat because of allergies and having a dessert becoming a mini one (you can get more than one) doesn't make a really horrible time in my opinion. Menus change all the time. The service people behind the counter aren't used to guests asking questions and it's quite possible this man was newer and had no idea there used to be chicken on the buffet.

But that's OK - everyone is entitled to their opinion although it didn't really answer the OP's question.
