Hi everyone, I have made all our ADR's and Biergarten was my Dh's only request. I am not a fan of buffets and need to be convinced. It is Disney do I give in and let my DH have a magical day.

Even if Beirgarten totally sucks - it's his "only request". Why on earth wouldn't you book it??? A vacation, like life in general, is about compromising and doing stuff for others who do stuff for you. Refusing to book the only restaurant he's asking for just doesn't seem right to me.

Heck, if the meal stinks so what - then you'll both know to skip it next time.

Thanks , your right I do want to make him happy after all it's one meal good or bad hopefully good.

My DH loves it, too, but we haven't done it in a long time. The experience is fun,and the food is actually pretty good. The kids loved all of the music and dancing, so it may be one that we need to do again! I think that you'll enjoy it-it is one to definately try at least once. We don't drink and it is still fun to us!:thumbsup2

Go, enjoy the entertainment, and have yourself a 0.5l BEvERage. You'll be having fun before you know it!

I have been there twice. The environment is great, but I am never impressed with the food. That said German foods are not my favorites anywhere so that may make a difference. It isn't on my list to do this year, much to my DH's dismay.

Its been at least 5 years sine we went....and this coming trip is the first time we haven't gone there. We have always liked it, food and entertainment. And since it is your DH's only request, why not make him happy :cutie:
I've had DH and 3 kids pipe in on this trip plus what I want....well we are way over our TS credits :rotfl:
And you know your DH will be so happy that you actually booked his one and only request :love2:

We just did dinner last saturday, and it was great as always. DH really wanted to go, as it is one of his favorites. We weren't sure if we'd be able to fit it in, but we did! He loves German food, though. I really liked the cold cabbage salad, beets, red cabbage, potato dumplings, pretzel bread...oh, and they had this hard salami-type sausage in the salad area that was to die for! I went back for seconds on that!

actually, the pork schnitzel was my favorite! It was REALLY good! I say give it a try.

It's pretty good foodwise and the show is a great bonus. If it is your DH's only request, it would be nice to give in. You might like it too!

Beirgarten is one of our favorite places to eat. The restaurant is beautiful, the live music and show is a lot of fun, the food is awesome!

awww c'mon, humor your DH! my DH is a big biergarten fan too (pork schnitzel is his favorite food EVER) and he's really looking forward to going back. the only thing about our last meal there that was kind of a downer was being seated w/ 4 other ppl who pretty much snubbed us the whole time, lol. the food and entertainment were both GOOD!

Just wanted to say that Biergarten was my DH's choice too. :confused3 Anyway, the kids and I are making him eat at Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Sci-Fi, 'Ohana, and Cinderella's Gala Feast. So, we happily gave him his Biergarten. I wasn't too excited at first, but I saw some pictures on a trip report and I'm looking forward to trying it. Anyway, a happy DH makes for a happier trip.:grouphug:

If it's his only request - I say book it.

We absolutely love the biergarten and it is a "must" every trip.

Go & enjoy!

The big boy and the little boys in my family always request Biergarten! They love it. (They aren't getting their way this time because I am trying to max the value of the DDP )

The oompah band is great fun. The food is carb-tastic (a splurge for whole-grain eating me). What's not to like? :lmao:

That is our favorite place and we are going the first day. It is a lot of fun and the food is great!!

Biergarten is a good place! :goodvibes
I have princesses to thank for starting to eat there. We started eating at Biergarten once the princesses took over Norway. :rotfl2: (Hopefully Snow White and her entourage will not overtake Biergarten some day. :lmao: )
I avoided Biergarten thinking the food would be heavy. The buffet of course has meat and starches, but much more too, and it is all good and not heavy! :thumbsup2
I don't see anyone being disappointed in eating at Biergarten.
I have an ADR there next month. :woohoo:

This is the one place that everyone in the family has requested we do again on our next trip. It has something for everyone :thumbsup2

If it's your husband's only request, how can you not book it?! :upsidedow

Same situation here, except I don't mind a buffet, it's the seating that troubles me. I'm not one to strike up a conversation with strangers as I'm a bit shy. I booked it for lunch as DH wanted it. (not to mention that the dessert pictures posted look soooo tasty!) Who knows? Maybe it will entice me to be more social! Hope you enjoy it. We're going September 15-21. If you're back before then, let me know how it went!
