Biergarten Anyone??

My family is considering eating at the Biergarten since its the only buffet(I think) in Epcot. Just curious as to peoples experience eating there. How was the food?? We would have atleast 6 adults and 2 kids(3yrs and a 3 month),would we likely be paired with other people? Do the have a decent selection food for kids?

We ate there last Sept. for the first time and we loved it so much we are going to try to get a ressie for it this Sept. Making my ressies this Sat. I think the tables sit 8 so with you already having 8 people in your group then nobody else will be sitting with you. I know the table we had was a table for 8 but I can't remember if there were any tables that sit more people. We were a group of 5 and we had another couple sitting with us and they were very nice people. My youngest daughter is a very picky eater and she found plenty of food she liked and wants to go back.v

We ate there two year ago. I loved the atmosphere. And my picky husband actually loved the food. It was one of his favorites. We are at a lot of buffets that trip and it still stands out as his favorite. We are going back in September and plan on eating there again.

We have eaten there on our last two trips. My DS now 13 is very picky. He found quite a few things that he liked on the buffet! He is a macroni and cheese kind of kid! We loved the atmosphere and the food. Ate dinner there the first time and lunch the 2nd trip. Lunch was much more relaxed and quiet. We are a family of 4 and actually had the whole table to ourselves.

This was on our maybe list for September (I need to make ADRs on Monday!). I went a loooong time ago. Gosh it must have been 20 years ago. I remember it being incredibly loud and overwhelming (maybe that's because I was 9).

Is it loud?

We went for lunch in September. The place was fairly full but not packed and it wasn't particularly loud. We were seated with another couple and a family of 4. We all talked to each other...turned out we were all staying at POP!!!!

WORST food DBF & I had the last time we went. Just about everything we ate was bland and dry. You cannot pay me to go back there. The band was funny & dessert was good, but the rest of the food was just awful.

This is our must do every trip! All three of my kids found food they liked and we all loved the pretzel bread! The band was also fun! We did lunch and us five were seated with a single and a group of four who gave us Soarin fastpasses in which we used!

I have eaten there twice. The first time, I really enjoyed my food and the atmosphere! The second time, I didn't enjoy it as much. My theory is that, for my first visit, the restaurant appeared to be totally booked up so there was always good, hot food coming out of the kitchen. For my second visit, it was maybe half full, and I found some dishes lukewarm/cold and dry. Kind of a bummer. Luckily, beer helps I would still recommend it at least once so you can come up with your own opinion!

I thought the experience and the atmosphere was quite unique and fun. The band was good, the people at our table were a lot of fun. I love sharing tables! we had a blast.

The food itself, it wasnt bad. Certainly not excellent in my opinion. But just good enough. I found a few faves and stuck with that.

Now that ive been there and done that, i have no desire to go back. But i think this is a place that everyone should try at least once. Its a lot of fun.

Food is decent, but unless you are on the dining plan probably not worth it. Was an amazing deal when it was 19.99 per person =/

This is the one place we go to on every trip since the atmosphere just does it for us.

The food is pretty good if you like German food, but I always feel like I've eaten too much every time I leave. We don't have kids, so I can't speak to that, and we're always sitting with others which can be interesting. We've only had one bad experience sitting with others, but otherwise it's been awesome.

We love this place. Will be going there next month again, can't wait, I think this is one of my DH favorite places to eat. Since there are only 2 of us we are always seated with other people but have been lucky so far as to be seated with very friendly people, that is always a plus.

We loved it. We went last month on the 18th and it was great. The kids enjoyed the music and dancing. It will definately be on our list to do again. We were a party of 9 so there was no room for others at our table. You said you would be at least 6 adults and 2 kids so I don't think there will be any room for another party at your table.

My husband and I loved it! The atmosphere was fun and the food was good. Our three girls liked it, but it is not their first choice of food. I would ho again in a heartbeat!

We had lunch last summer and can't wait to repeat this year! We loved the atmosphere and entertainment, and were REALLY pleasantly surprised with the food. (I usually go to any Disney restaurant, especially buffets, with pretty low expectations and find that I am usually somewhat surprised.) There was plenty for each of us to find a few favorites, and we all thought desserts were delicious. There were lots of items for kids. My teens still enjoy some of the "kid's" food, and they loved the mac and cheese and the bread and cheeses.
