Bids on rooms???

Yes, you can bid on Priceline and you can buy at a set price on Hotwire. But here's the catch... you don't know what the hotel is until you have already paid (and it is non-refundable). Just a general location and star value. To me, one night would be worth it, a whole vaction, probably not.
There is a website about using these sites I think it is bidding for travel dot com.

Whether or not bidding on priceline or hotwire is worth it really depends on your preferences and the city you want to stay. I have gotten some really great hotels for orlando - the Peabody, the Wyndham and the Gaylord Palms. I have also gotten a nightmare - the Days Inn - international drive.

I decided never to bid 2-star for orlando again.

I've also gotten nice results for cities in other states. Everyone's idea of a hotel is different. Just do your research before you bid.

go look at

and
'www.biddingfortravel.com'

plus there is skyauction - but remember that it extra fee applies to each and every day - $32 fee.

for some of those hotels even a bid of $10 is too much for me.

the timeshares are a good choice when you use skyauction.

Is there a website were we can bid on the price of the room? :confused3

Try priceline.com. We've had pretty good luck there, but we aren't too picky. The hotel is mainly just a place to sleep, shower and change clothes.

Last year, we got a $35 room rate in the Disney area on Thanksgiving weekend.
