Bibliography Help!

Hi Guys,
Yesterday I was typing at my school and the teacher came up to me and said "you know you have to put that in abc order." I said"I do? Ok." So I got it on a floppy disk and I got it home now I don't know how to put it in abc order for example:

Smith, Jon, http://www.none.com January 29, 2006

I don't know what should I put in abc order I'm pretty sure you put the persons name in order but I'm not positive. Help!!!

By the way it is 15% of my Language Arts grade!

Is it MLA format? If it is, then alphabetize it according to the first word that appears in each citation. If the first word in all your citations is the author's name, then go ahead and alphabetize by their last name. Good luck!
