Hello,

I am trying to decide between the Crown Package and the Castle Package since my daughter will already be picking out a dress at the park I can have her get it through this instead. I also like the idea of the portrait package. If I choose the Crown package instead can I add on the portrait package and if yes how much is it. Does it make a different if I will have the Photo Pass Plus?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi there,

My DD10 had the Castle Package when we were there in September. To help you decide I quickly ran some numbers between the 2 options you are thinking. The Crown Package is $59.95 plus tax but then you said you are also purchasing a princess dress which were approx. $70 plus tax. So if you add those together you get 129.95 plus tax. So for the Castle Package its an extra $65 you get a few more things such as a wand, crown and of course the photo package which included 1-6x8 and 4 - 4x6 photos (3 different poses in total) with special effects in a cute little folder. There were not photopass photographers there to take photos during the makeover (I had seen that in some you-tube clips) so had to do my own there. We had the photopass+ and they added all of the photos they had taken during the photoshoot onto that.

Hopefully another poster can tell you if they were able to purchase just the photo package separately without upgrading completely.

For me in the end I decided that as were coming from Australia and spent so much already  why worry about $65?? But of course all budgets are different and its personal choice. But can I just say that it was all totally worth it as my little princess is on that cusp of growing up (where lots of friends think princesses are not cool) and these memories for both of us are priceless.

I'm not sure if I helped afterall .... haha but that's my 2 cents :confused3

Thank you for your input!

You can purchase the portrait package separately - it's $29.95, I believe (or maybe $24.95, can't quite remember!). If you purchase the all inclusive package they used to announce you as a princess and take you over and directly in to the Royal Hall to meet whichever princesses they have there at the time - which can save quite a bit of time in line!! I assume they still do this but it's been a year since we were there.

If you are going to buy a dress in the park any way and the photo package, it's probably better to buy the larger package. If you might buy a dress elsewhere and bring it with you then the other one is probably a better deal.

My daughter got escorted to Fantasy Faire, skipped the line and announced as a Princess in September when we went, so yes it's still the same :)

Yes you can add the photo to the lower package, I was going to say it's $30 to $40. Definitely not under $30.
