Hi,

We are coming to DW for the first time in October. Our DD will be 5 and as a lot of girls, a princess fan. So, I would like to take her to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

1) How much time should we allocate for it?
2) What time do you recommend we book if we are planning on attending CRT for dinner?

Also, would love to hear experiences, and what package you selected. I imagine it's quite magical for a little girl.

Depends on the package. I'd say at least 45-60 minutes. Depending on what time of day the appointment is, they might be backed up.

If you want the appointment right before dinner, then I'd do at least 90 minutes, though the entrances are literally 25 feet apart from each other.

It might be more fun for her to do an earlier appointment and be able to walk around the park dressed like a princess.

We took our 3 year old last March, we had a 8:00 am appt (in the castle one) and she received the package where she got her hair, nails and slight make-up done. We had brought a costume from home (which saved some money) We had 9:20 breakfast reservations at CRT and it was plenty of time. It was great b/c she got to get pictures done with Cinderella before we sat down for breakfast. I would say at least 60 mins.

Cute idea, and I'm sure she'd feel like a real princess. Just wondering the logistics if she could go on rides, etc, all dressed up?

We also took my son to pirates league and he got a pirate make-over, so we had two little ones dressed up and they received "extra special" attention from CM's and when we got onto the Disney bus they annouced to everyone we have a disney pricess aboard etc. I ended up taking the costume off around 3pm so she was in it from 8-3, not to bad (I felt better that I didn't have to pay for it lol) but her hair was up and done perfectly until she went to sleep and she loved every minute of it. We didn't have any problems on lines. I did read one time that if you go in the middle of summer it could get hot and uncomfortable for them. But we went the 1st week in March so it was pleasant.

My dd did. She was done at 10 ish, we had lunch in the castle and she rode rides after that, along with my son who was done at the Pirate's league. We ended the night with Hoop de doo revue.

You see TONS of little girls in costume, all over the park, not all of whom have had the BBB experience. They don't have any problem going on the rides in full regalia.

Thank you for the info. Sounds like it won't be an issue wearing her dress. We will definitely bring her Cinderella costume (that we bought at our local Disney store last year for Halloween). I do have a son as well who will be 9, but not sure he'd be into the pirate thing (although that would be os cute to get them both done up and then have dinner at CRT).

One more question...is this something that should be booked right at the 180 day mark as well?

Yes, I would definitely book at the 180 day mark to get the time you want. We took our 4 yr old DGD in December. We had an 8:50 appt. They took her right away. It took just about an hour. She got the package that included everything, dress, hair, nails and makeup. She also had the Photo shoot. We had a 6:00 dinner reservation at CRT. She loved being dressed like a princess the entire day, but when we got back to the room at night, she was more than ready to get her hair out and get a bath. They use so much hair spray, but she was a Beautiful little Elsa Princess!!

Oh wow...my little one is so obsessed with Frozen...she would love that (but a huge Cinderella fan too). Good to know to leave time for a shower ;)

The MK location sometimes runs behind on appointment times late in the afternoon when crowds get busy and hectic. If you are having dinner 5:00 pm or later I would recommend (just in my experience) a BBB appointment between 2-4 pm. It easily takes an hour for the full transformation if they are running on time.

I completed a Disney college program internship at the boutique and it is truly a place where dreams come true. It's more than just a makeover, it is a full imaginative experience for the princesses to share special moments and princess stories with their own fairy godmother in training and to learn that they are beautiful, brave, smart, and adventurous just like the Disney princesses.

If you have any specific questions on the packages please let me know! I'd love to help if I can! After spending 7 months in Cinderella's castle I still love sharing in the BBB experience with others. :)
