This may be a contact Disney yourself question but DD who has staunchly refused to go 'girly' in the past has stated that she would love to have her hair done at BBB in October.

She has extremely intolerant skin and scalp. Would be fine with the hairdo and nails, not sure about the make-up and glitter spray.

Any experience or suggestions? :goodvibes

TIA

Be aware that they put TONS of gel onto the hair and scalp, and the glitter is not a spray, but actual glitter that is sprinkled (aka poured LOL) on to their head. My dd7 has done BBB many times and does say that her head itches sometimes. I don't know if they would be able to give you the brands of the products that they use, but perhaps you can do a trial run using them at home to see if she could tolerate them? The makeup is very minimal only eye shadow and lip gloss, with a gem sticker. You get to keep the pallette, so you could always opt out of the makeup application if you were worried.

I always worry that if something is in my hair, it will get on my pillow, and then onto my face.

The nail polish could be a problem, too.

Have you ever had her tested to find out if she's actually allergic to something, rather than just having sensitive skin? It makes it easier if you can look at labels and know what ingredients to avoid.

I can't speak to BBB, but my DS has insanely sensitive skin- we have to watch soap and detergent with him. I heard that there had not been any bad reactions at Pirate's League, and tried it with excellent results in December. No reactions at all!

My daughter, one year ago, who usually does not have sensitive skin, had a bad facial skin reaction to the make up at BBB, not to say that this would happen to your daughter, but she broke out in a rash that did not clear up for almost a week before it completely went away.
