I just made a reservation for the castle package mainly because we are doing it on Jan. 1 (crazy I know :rotfl2:) but I thought the fact that you get to skip the line at Fantasy Faire seemed pretty awesome (especially since the corwd would be so crazy that day). Has anyone done the Castle package? How is the walk to fantasy faire? Do they do anything special?

Side note, we did BBB in 2011, not the castle package, and this past summer at WDW and we were SO dissapointed in BBB at DW compared to DL! DL blows WDW out of the water when it comes to BBB. No backgrounds, nothing special, just a blue back drop. And the shop wasn't near as nice and roomy so we are glad to be going back to BBB at DL!

wow you really get to skip to front of the line to see the princess?

You do with the Castle Package.
OP, I have not done the Castle Package sine FF opened, but I am not aware of them doing anything special. The princesses may take more time with them. You may want to consider getting Photopass+ if you haven't already.

Thanks I will! I was told that they get a royal processional to fantasy faire and then cut the line to see the princesses. Should be fun!

My DD wants to try this and I had no idea about skipping the line to see the princesses! That is awesome. Do you have to book a certain time? Also, is it appropriate to tip the hair dressers or not? Not sure what the etiquette is with that (sorry if it is a dumb question). Lastly, how soon in advance can you book this? Thank you so much and I would love to hear a review when you return. Our trip is not until February. Thanks so much!

iYikes, I've never tipped the hair dresser but I'm sure they'd appreciate it. Paying so much already always left me in sticker shock, lol. We booked our trip last minute so I made our reservation a little more than a month in advance. I will definitely review our experience when we get back!

We have our castle reservation tomorrow am 12/7 i will report back sometime in the evening how it went!!

My daughter was there earlier this week for the castle package (it was a lot of fun). When I paid, the woman at the register offered up that cash tips were allowed if I would like to leave one (I did). I also watched her hand it to the fairygodmother in training a couple minutes later.

Thank you for that information.

ToodlesRN and Mommy to Kayla can't wait to hear your reviews! TIA for posting them. :)

We have always tipped our FGIT after our BBB appointments...usually $10.
I an interested in hearing what the processional consists of. I have only seen them walking girls from BBB to FF.

My Granddaughter had the Castle package in Mid-September. There really wasn't anything special on the walk from the solon to the PFF. We just followed a CM - perhaps because Kya was the only little girl with the Castle package at that time. It was great to get into see the princesses with no wait.

They actually did make a big deal about it for my daughter and her friend in May. Three or four attendants walked them over, and stopped to introduce Princess Emma and Princess Sophie to the other cast members. When we arrived at the door before entering, they did a formal announcement. Then we met our first princess (belle) she called the girls by name. I'm not sure if this is typical though from other things I had read.

This must be new, when we went after the BBB first opened I was told they were not allowed to accept tips. I'm glad they can now, we had so much fun.

Coming back to report our day at BBB with the castle package!

Our daughter turned 3 in August and thought that this would be perfect for her and my goodness it was perfect! They treated her like a princess and she walked around proud with her new dress and hair do! She surprised me last minute as we talked about which dress she wants (Cinderella) and her hair up in a bun. As its her turn to shop and picked her dress, she choose Rapunzel and the diva hair style.

After her make over was done we were seated to wait for her photo shoot in the carriage and once we received our photo package we were escorted down to the princesses location, it was cute as the CM was telling everyone to move to one side as a princess was coming, the amazing moment was seeing the line with 20 people long and we go right up to the roped area and the CM makes the announcement that princess Olivia has arrived and knocked on a door, it opens and we let in! I think the princesses know by the way the girls are dressed that they just left BBB and it seemed that they interacted with her more and she was extra photo ops with them. Our son had the knight package done and he was able to take pictures with her during the photo shoot and meeting the princesses!

It was fantastic and hope that everyone who has the castle package booked has a great experience as we did ;)

Thank you for your report!!! Do you know if I can call now for February? Also, what did you think of the knight package? My DD has a twin brother and I am wondering if it would be fun for him to do that while she is at BBB. (They are 6.) Did your son enjoy it? Was it hard to do it at the same time considering, I am assuming, that it takes much longer for the Castle Package? Thanks so much for your help!

I think it's either 30 or 60 days I can't remember.

My son has done the knight package a couple of times he enjoys it, but said this was his last time doing it (he will be 8 soon). They both had 10:10 appt., but his started about 10 mins after hers they sat across from each other and was able to watch and enjoy both sessions. Once he was done he sat next to me and waited for sister to finish, the photo pass photographers were great they took pics of her by her self then asked our son if he wanted a some with her, so we were able to get both of there pics together!
