Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique -- at almost 3 years old?

We're planning a trip for this November. We really want to take our daugther (who will be ALMOST 3 years old -- just a couple weeks short) to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique with her cousin (age 5). The Disney website says it is for age 3 and over. Will they give us a problem?

Thanks!

When you call to book it and they ask for her age, say she is 3. I would especially if she is only a couple weeks from her birthday.

From what I've read here on the DIS, yes, if you tell them she is ALMOST three, you WILL have a problem.

But, lying is not right thing to do, & the mods may shut this down now since the DIS isn't supposed to be used to share ways to "get around" WDW rules.

If I were you & my DD really, really wanted to be able to experience BBB, I'd just postpone the trip until her bday.

Thanks for the input. But I'm not sure why the thread should be shut down. I'm not trying to get around any rules, and I never ever said I would lie. I was merely trying to figure out if the 3-year old rule was simply a guideline or a strictly-enforced rule even where the child is only a few days short of her third birthday.

Unfortunately, due to school schedules, we can't postpone the trip by a few weeks so that she will be a few days older and legally 3 years old.

Hi there was a thread on this subject a couple of weeks ago, and I think most people just said that there has to be a cut - off somewhere. And the cut off is age three. I seem to remember that a lady called and practically begged them to accept her very nearly 3 year old (2 wks short i think it was), and they wouldn't budge!

Does the barber shop in MK have an age cut off? Sorry I can't remember but I'm sure someone will be along who can help! I think they can have a pixie dust thing and it is cheaper!

Good luck with whatever you decide to do :goodvibes

We have appointments at the Harmony Barbershop for my 18 month old for his 1st hair cut and my 3 year old for something with pixie dust and fun for her. So I think any age can go there.

my ds had his first haircut at the barber shop= no age cut off there.
From my experience, they won't let her go if she is under three. Also- she probably won't like it so much either. Just have her wear a dress and you can bun her hair yourself so she can be like her cousin.

Took our daughter in 2008 when she was 2-years and 9 months. If I recall, they did not even ask her age when we made the reservation. I knew my daughter, and knew she would sit still and enjoy every moment of it (which she did!). Here is her picture:

While we were there, just in passing conversation her FGIT and others, as well, asked her how old she was. She always told them, "Two!" and they always responded in a positive way.

She is now turning 6, and we are returning in October. Our second daughter will be ten days short of her 3rd birthday. I already have appointments made for both of them. Again, I know my daughter and know she will enjoy the experience. I do see the age as a guideline, and since nobody asked me their ages when making our reservations, I did not lie.

Good luck and have fun! :goodvibes

The age is not a guideline - it is supposed to be a rule- they have to be over 3.

We are in a very similar situation. It's good to hear that Disney gave you no problem with this. Like you, we won't lie. But if they are fine with almost 3 (just a few days short), that is great.
