Beware of point allocations by MS when booking future trips

To my fellow DVC members, just a little advice/reminder for you on this lovely Monday afternoon. Beware of how MS utilizes your points when owning at 2 resorts and booking at an alternative DVC resort.

I caught MS making an error with my points which would have messed up my December 2005 planned trip and not allow me to book at the 11 month window for the entire trip.

After waiting an additional 15 minutes my problem was resolved.

Once again, I think it is good advice to track your points.

I agree, it's always a good idea to track your points.

And before I hang up with MS no matter what transaction I've done (banking, borrrowing or reservation) I always make sure we check the point balances for each year of both contracts. It's an extra 20 seconds that I'm sure is well worth it.

Also, make sure to jot down banking or borrowing transaction numbers along with the date and name of the MS person. There is no written confirmation of these transactions, so that information is all that you can get!


Yes, I know....on line reservations and point tracking would take care of all of this. But until that day (probably in 2043), I'll just keep checking those point balances!
