Beware of Ants at FQ

Just back late last night from FQ! The resort is wonderful!!
Just a small warning.
My hubby would pile his dirty clothes on the floor under the bench.
When I packed to leave, all the dirty clothes went into one suitcase.
Last night when I opened that suitcase to start the wash, I discovered many small pale looking ants. Nothing like the ants found in NJ. I have a feeling they came from the carpet.
Even though the room appeared pristine and a bug was never spotted.
So keep those dirty clothes off of the floor.

Were you on the ground floor? They could be pavement ants. We have them in CT. I've only seen them on the floor - never on the counters, etc. I've been told we have them because our family room is built on a slab. Don't know if they are the same deally or not...

Those ants are all over Florida--all year round. We learned this when we moved down here in August. I definitely keep a clean house, but those ants (grease ants, I think they're called) are just so small that they come in anyway. Thought of calling an exterminator, but our new neighbors laughed and said we'd need them here every couple of months.....

They are sugar ants! We had them at POR at Thanksgiving on the sink. They are looking for water. We have terminex and they spray the outside of our house every 4 months and the inside as needed. Just let Disney know so they can put out some bates or spray. (Once we even found those and in a closed jar of peanut butter.)

We were actually on the third floor of building number 3.
I never saw them anywhere. Clearly they were not in the BR or out by the sink area.

We had a terrible ant problem at CR last month.
