I was so excited when I saw that airfare on return flight had gone down (it was internet only) only to find out that because I booked over the phone I cant go back in and make any changes to our reservation over the internet, and they dont have access to that fare. :(

Cancel it over the phone and rebook online.

Yep I do it all the time without any problems:D

I called and spoke with an agent and she said that because the promo rate that I got earlier is now sold out that I would have to pay a higher rate from kc to orlando which would then take the savings that I would get on the internet rate from orlando to kc. hopefully I explained this correctly, so if original reservation would of been on the internet then I could change it. If either of you have any other ideas of what I might do please let me know. Thank you

Personally I always call back. This past April my mom and I flew SW to Vegas. I like you booked over the phone and found a cheaper fare online. I called and one of the agents told me I would be charged for switching so I said ok and hungup. I called back and talked to another agent and she inturn changed my fare for me over the phone without any problems.

A couple of weeks later I saw they were offering an even cheaper fare out of Midway(we were leaving from INdy at first) Since we were going to northern Indiana to drop my ds and dd off at the their other grandparents, I decided to fly out of midway which turned out to be more convenient.

I called SWA again and told an agent I wanted to leave out of mdw instead of Indy and about the lower fare. This agent said I would pay more if I did it this way so I said ok and hungup.
After calling back a third time, the third agent credited my account so I could purchase the flight online out of mdw which left me a 105 dollar credit.

My dh call me the callbackqueen because I always get a second -third -fourth and sometimes fifth opinon which work out fine for me.

Can't you just cancel one leg of it? The trip that you want to book online?

I'm sorry, but by one leg are you referring to one way?

Yes - I meant cancel the one way that you want to book online. Or perhaps your deal required round-trip airfare?

I've called several times and keep getting the same story apparently the promo airfare that I got does require roundtrip airfare so I would have to cancel the entire reservation, then I wouldnt be able to get the lower fare on the way to florida. So I am still stuck because I made the reservation over the phone, had I known I would of originally made reservation on the internet. Thank you everybody for trying to help.
