Beverly Lynn or anyone that can help? Vouchers for Delta?

I was under the assumption that even if you booked your airline tickets through Delta.com that if the price went down that you could get a voucher for the difference. Is this not true? The price went down today, I called Delta and they said that this only applies if you book over the phone. Please advice! Thanks alot!!!

Beverly Lynn - I called back again. I was told the same thing. They told me that it specifies on the web site that they do not downgrade for Delta.com., only on purchases booked over the phone. Please advise. Thanks for all of your help!!! I asked for a supervisor and was told that they would tell me the same thing.

As long as you have E tickets you can get the voucher over the phone if - and it could be a big if - if the new lower fare is not a web only fare. The policy is here on Delta's website. If you have paper tickets, you must go to a Delta ticket office or the airport to get the voucher.

Ok anyone help! Am I reading this wrong? Sorry if this is long and to make this short! By what it says, that you get a refund (not a voucher). if:

the change is made prior to departure
if we do not make any change to the flight
reservations are confirmed in the appropriate class
all fare restrictions are met
the lower fare is not a special delta.com only fare

Also above it says (over the phone - e tickets only)

We are not doing any changes to our flight, it is not a special delta fare and all of the other statements do not apply.

Where am I confused? I hear everyone else receiving vouchers, but doesn't Delta.com state refund.

it is a refund in the form of a voucher to be applied towards the purchase of another tkt on them. I myself got a refund voucher of 50 for a tkt I bought online on their web sight. the new lower fare that came out was also on their web sight. I just called them and they gave me the refund. I am confused. is the new lower fare for the 800 res nbr only? or is the lower fare on their websight? now if you buy a tkt from the 800 nbr and the fre goes down on the web only then no you don't get the refund voucher. if you buy a tkt on the web and the fare goes down on the 800 nbr only then no you would not get a refund. now if you buy a fare on the internet and the fare on the internet goes down then yes you do get a refund. does this make sense to you>? sometimes its harder to explain in writing it than in voice!

Yes, that helps! I finally talked to someone and received the vouchers. I was really confused after talking to 4 people from Delta. After reading so many threads on here and others receiving vouchers, then I was really baffled. I really appreciate everyones help on this! Thanks again!! You guys are great!!

I hate when agents don't want to do their job. the problem is its a royal pain to have to adjust a pnr for a refund adjustment or change fee. there is so much in documentation that they hate to do it.
