I am trying to convince DH to go in May instead of December. Which time is better to go?

Depends....Early May would be great for swimming....late May will get crowded.
Early December is good....Anywhere near Christmas is crowded. I think MAY is the way to go personally. BUT come Early!!!!!! Around Mothers day is perfect.

I've been both times. If you can go early Dec, I would try for that. Disney at Christmas time is just wonderful!

If you're going to go in May, definitely choose the first half of the month. The second half gets very crowded with school groups I've found. The weather is beautiful in May (though it's starting to get hot then) and perfect for swimming and flower viewing at the Flower and Garden Festival. December is fun as well, though, with Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and all of the holiday events going on. If you're big swimmers and sun worshippers, I'd say go with May. If you spend most of your time in the parks, I'd say stick with early December as I find it to be much less crowded.

I absolutely love May. The first week of May is my all time favorite time to go. I would DEFINATELY choose May over December.

December - Christmas Decorations yes, but darker earlier in the day, uncertain weather - (possibly not swimming weather).

May - BEAUTIFUL weather, Flower and Garden Festival, possibility of being able even to swim at night. Not crowded beginning of May. Absolutely beautiful.

IMHO. :goodvibes

I would vote for December. The crowds are roughly the same but it is cooler and less humid in December making it a little more enjoyable for us.

May, it's the perfect time to go - unless you really want to go at Christmas.

We've been both times and choose May. The FGF is awesome and the weather is great for swimming.

We went once in December and liked it, although I don't think we will go again. Although Disney does a FANTASTIC job with decorations and parades, we felt we lost the "Disney" feeling we get when we go.

We are gioing this May and it will be our 3rd trip in May. Can't wait!

We just spent our first Christmas at Disney. We were there 12/17-12/26 and did not think it was crowded until Christmas eve. It was a little cooler than I had expected, but we did have some days that were warm enough for my DD's to go swimming.

We've never been in Dec but we've been in mid-May and loved it!! Beautiful weather and the crowds weren't bad. This year we're going the first week of May.

we usually go both months....early December used to be pretty quiet but the secret has been spilled!

Here is the thing. We are not big swimmers but we also hate cold weather. We also hate really hot weather too. I am from Michigan so the weather changes drastically. I am not sure which time to go now. I think it would be better in May because in December (if all goes right) I might have a baby and I am not sure I would want to do that.
