Better than Park & Fly at O'Hare

I've been posting about the great deal we got at the Candlewood Suites near O'Hare via Hotwire, and now we are back from our trip so I can give a report. Between the rate on Hotwire and a great deal on parking at the Avistar lot (a few blocks away from the hotel) via www.airportparkinglots.com, we got off way cheaper than the typical park & fly. I think the hotel was $33 before tax, and Avistar was $6.95 per day. I really liked the hotel. They have a VCR with free movies and sodas for only a quarter (they even give you your first quarter when you check in!). If you are flying out of Chicago with an early morning flight and want to spend the night near the airport, I highly recommend this. it is cheaper than a limo too...we used to always to a limo from home to O'Hare till we ran into lots of problems with their service. In these post 9/11 days, we don't have time to deal with no-shows!!
