Better rate for spring break?

After reading all the messages about "good" rental car deals, I am very frustrated with trying to get a decent rental rate for a FULL Size car; 9 days, March 27 - April 5 at the airport.

Even with AARP, any specials (and there are only a couple right now) and all of Mousesavers and rentalcodes.com codes the best I can find with all taxes and fees is $245.

I've tried combining codes etc. How are people getting those fantastic, low prices I read about?

Any help would be appreciated!!!!!!!!
