Better date?

Alrighty at first my honeymoon was going to be from nov. 18-26 and you guys said it would be busy because of thanksgiving and i expected to be. If I changed it to nov. 7-15 would it make a big difference. if so please let me know with your experience at the riverside.

Yes I think it would make a difference but..... I think Soap weekend may be in there..I'm not sure. Last year it was.
But that only really affects MGM for that weekend. (and some of the resorts that the soap stars are staying in)
Also the wine and food festival will be going on so that would be very nice on a honeymoon I would think.
If it were me I would go that week instead of the week of Thanksgiving.

That is when we go, and it is quite a bit less crowded then Thanksgiving week. Also, you will hit the tail end of the F&W Festival which is a plus. I wouldn't worry about Soap weekend. All the activities occur at MGM and the Soap fans aren't there for the rides. They stand in line to interact with the Soap stars. We got to ride a lot of attractions at MGM on those visits with very little waiting. The restaurants are apt to be a little more crowded.

During the time you will be there, the Epcot Food & Wine Festival will be going on. This should be fun for you, but it does increase the crowd levels at Epcot slightly on the weekends. Also, MGM will be having the Super Soap weekend the weekend of Nov. 12-13. This will make MGM quite crowded then, but most of the crowds will be in line to see the Soap actors. Also, New Jersey has an annual Teachers Convention the second part of the week that week, and crowds all over WDW will be elevated because of all the NJ folks taking advantage of school being out.

Even with all those things going on, it will still be less busy than Thanksgiving week. Congratulations on your wedding, and have a great honeymoon! With a little planning, you will have a great time, avoid the crowds, and see and do everything you want.
