We will be traveling with my brother and, therefore, have a total of four kids ages 8 down to 5. We have a rez at Sci Fi on our first day at Disney, but we could also go to 50's. My family and I have been to Sci Fi, and we love it, but all those kids together will be quite excited and loud.

We do try our best to keep them quiet, and they are really good kids but they will surely be so pumped on our first day. But it will be hard for them to pipe down in the Sci Fi. I can see lots of shush-ing going on! On the one hand I don't want to deny a cool experience for the kids, but I don't want disturb other people.

I remember it being a quiet experience. Will we disturb others in the restaurant of our kids get loud every so often? I have never been to the 50's. Can it be better than Sci Fi?

Oh, we are on the DDP so cost is not a factor. Thanks!

I agree, if you want them to be able to just have fun and not worry about them being noisy, do 50's instead. So much fun. We took ours when they were 5, 12 & 15 and they loved it!! :thumbsup2

50's Prime Time - hands down! seriously. no question. you will have a great time with the cast members. they'll make everyone eat their veggies and they'll be amusingly pushy about it. you're in for a treat if you go there.

It depends if your kids are open to being bossed around by their 'cousin or MOM' at Prime Time. Our kids liked it, but they enjoyed seeing other folks getting caught, especially if it was mom or dad.:rotfl2:

On the other hand SciFi is fun cuz they can watch the movie/cartoon clips and that would probably keep them settled down for a while, service is usually fast, as is the food delivery, I don't remember it being very quiet in there so I would not worry. There are plenty of other kids there too making noise.
Go with the resturant where you think the menu will suit your family best.

I would absolutely choose Sci-Fi over 50's for young kids...burgers, milkshakes, movies in a car....we like 50's but it's not sci-fi...my kids just love sci-fi. I must mention that a lady next to us got SO upset at 50's that she started crying and left the restaurant. It was priceless, she obviously wasn't expecting it and it upset her. Her family stayed and the waitress kept apologizing. We found her on a bench outside when we left with her arms crossed...furious.

Did you point and laugh? I would have.

My kids are a bit older (10, 12 & 15) but loved 50's when we ate there yesterday. Especially loved it when mom got a napkin hat that said "bad example" after leaving her elbows on the table and made her wear it until we were out of the restaurant.
